Great unit for home projects
This thing works well. At first I thought the included remote control wasn’t needed but I found myself using it quite often.It works well. I used to on a paver patio project. There are not many mounting options for it. I ended up using a spare camera tripod that shoots low to the ground. This unit has a 1/4-20 stud that’s the same size as cameras use.Battery – lasts a good long time. I have never had it run out, even after several hours of continuous use.Why did I knock off 1 star ?The unit has a self-leveling system but it’s range is limited to only a few degrees in each direction. If it can’t auto-correct, it will blink the laser line to let you know. That’s helpful, but it still needs to be leveled. In the end I purchased a cheap, stick on bubble level (round with a center circle) so that I could get the unit approximately leveled. They should include one with the unit. Minor thing but I thought I’d mention it.Usefulness: I initially purchased this for a paver project, but I have since used it to install our kitchen cabinets and a bathroom sink. I found myself going around our house checking the level on various things and discovered (from the previous owner) doors that weren’t plumb, floors that weren’t level, etc.I should also mention the build quality is good. Feels like a sturdy tool. I would purchase again.

Easy to Use – Hanging Option Great
Wanted to buy a green laser, 3-axis level for some home improvement projects. I had an old red laser one that was 15+ years old (Craftsman), but wanted an upgrade to the more visible green laser. The name brand ones at the big box home improvement stores were outrageous in price. My wife suggested I look on Amazon and we found this Takamine model that had good accuracy and some nice features that the name brand ones didn’t have including a very nice magnetic hanger with 3-axis adjustments. Seemed like a reasonable price so we decided to give it a try.It works great. Really like the remote, the removable battery, and the hard case. But the adjustable, magnetic hanging device is the best feature. Purchased an inexpensive piece of steel, screwed it to my wall, and was able to infinity adjust the laser to line up all my grout lines in my shower. Very handy.The only real negative is that it doesn’t seem to really turn off. If you leave the battery installed, it tends to drain. So between use, just slide the battery off and it does not drain.

Works very well, the battery last, I have checked and double checked the Accuracy of level it is spot on every time, the alignment is very close to perfect, the design works very well for every situation I have encountered with it! The durability of construction is tough, with sensitive equipment you expect that it would not be as well built! The case is well thought out to keep it contained as with any tool on a construction project there is a certain inherent risk of damage this case protects very well. I have found many many uses for this laser level the possibilities are endless

I did a good bit of research before I bought this laser level. Not only did it check all the boxes but has features I didn’t think I would need. But they have turned out to be quite useful. I’m not a professional, just a serious DIY guy remodeling our downstairs.The laser is bright green and seems to show up better than a red angle laser I bought several years ago. This thing throws enough vertical and horizontal lines to satisfy any need I will have. I thought the remote control was overkill but it has turned out to be the biggest surprise of all… Very convenient and useful. And the apparatus that comes with it to hang it most anywhere really is a plus. My drop-down ceiling will be perfectly level and square thanks to this guy. And it didn’t hurt that it was on sale for Prime Days.I thought about buying a cheaper one but after I watched the videos I found on it I decided to take a chance and go up to the Takamine. I had never heard of them before but the quality seems to be top notch. So glad I got it. I have only been using it for a couple of weeks so I can’t comment on long-term durability. But as far as function goes you can’t beat it. I was also impressed with the case it came in to protect it.I’m not going to create a video because there are already some good ones about this product. And you should watch a couple that show all the features of this level.The only negative thing I can say is that the beams are briefly interrupted by the bars that hold a protective shield above each laser. But they aren’t show stoppers and I don’t think they could have been avoided. The shields do need to be there. And remember never to look at the laser directly.I highly recommend this product. If it continues to function as it has so far I will be totally pleased.

HelloI purchased this laser level ad it is very good but I have two issues the first one that the charger is not working and I connected amazon and they said return the order and reorder it which is long process. So I am trying here to write my comment wishing that the company will read my notes.Thae second point is that the laser beam becomes 5/16 in width.Thanks
