Excellent for moving fast and if you do not care about exact staple placement.
I have been installing insulation in a shed (one of my least favorite jobs on the planet) with a staple gun. The gun works but it takes forever and my hand gets tired from pulling the trigger. This tool effectively makes your arm the force as you swing it rather than press a trigger. It does mean you are less accurate with your staple placement, so this is for things where you do not care exactly where the staple lands (so not for reupholstering your furniture). You do need room to swing your arm for it as well. It requires reloading FAR less often than my gun and also effectively extends my reach by a bit. I do find where I am working overhead that the gun works better as I need more control but this is really speeding up the vertical walls, making the day when I can wallboard over this pink fiberglass awfulness closer. It uses the same staples as my staple gun, so that is a bonus as well. If you are doing a big job, this tool is worth it.
