Resistance to decay: The best known and most valuable feature of red cedar is its high degree of decay resistance. The anti-decay properties of red cedar come from naturally occurring alcohols called Thujaplicins. Additionally, an acid called Thujic, which can be extracted from red cedar protects the wood from attack. So it is particularly suitable for applications in particularly dry or humid environments.
Wonderful aroma: A wooden bath mat made from cedar has a wonderful aroma and the natural scent of the timber is constantly being recharged every time it gets wet.
Softness and Absorbent: Cedar is strong, but its softness creates a luxurious feel underfoot while teak shower mat and bamboo bath mat are harder on the feet, less of a sense of comfort. More critical, cedar has excellent moisture absorption and absorbs some of the water from your feet which helps in the drying process.

I bought this cedar wood shower mat on a whim and immediately wondered why I waited so long to upgrade from the sad, soggy fabric mats of my past. This thing is beautiful—clean lines, rich cedar tone, and it somehow makes my bathroom feel like a spa instead of a room where I rush through mornings half-awake. Excellent mat but needs a slight tweak.
Pros: Great size, very smooth and comfortable on our feet. Much cheaper than teak.Cons: Rubber feet do not grip enough to keep the mat from slipping in the shower.Fix: I bought 1.5 inch suction cups and replaced the preinstalled grips. No slipping now.

Cedar bath mat
I love the smell of cedar in the bathroom..It seems like a good quality mat. My only complaint is that it came with this stain on it and I’m not quite sure what it is so I don’t know what to put on it to try and clean it. We tried rinsing it off with regular water and it doesn’t take it off so I’m waiting to hear from the seller if they have suggestions. I heard back from the seller and he wants to send me a new one free of charge so that’s good.Our replacement mat came in 3 days, Seller’s were quick & easy to work with. And it’s beautiful, picture above!

BUYERS BEWARE! PINE, DENTS, TONE MISMATCH AND MORE
AFTER TRYING TO REASON WITH THE MANUFACTURER and them gaslighting me into believing the problem is me for not knowing enough about this wood, I decided to share my experience with this company with 0 accountability.The wood that I know by heart is Pine. I was raised in Patagonia, and Pine is everywhere, I even had a Pine forest next to my house. What I mean by that is I KNOW EXACTLY HOW PINE LOOKS… and moreover, HOW PINE SMELLS.YES, what other people say is true, but there is even more to that story. They not only send full pine bath mats but they resorted to send me individual pine lumbers mixed up in between cedar ones! That has only one word: FRAUD (pine is lesser value). If you are in doubt smell the lumber that looks suspiciously pale, and smell it. Cedar smells “warm” and a bit sweet. Pine smells sharper, fresher, bitter and more like “forest”-scented cleaning products. Different lumbers might have different intensities of aroma, BUT NEVER different scents.IF AND WHEN you get actual cedar you will face other issues:They are all different tones from dark brown to light yellow/off-white and even red! They are chipped, dented (probably a return/used). Some panels are even reclaimed wood with cheap fixes with paste, and others have absolutely random white spots where no oil was applied.I bought 6, replaced 3, and I still have no consistent tone like in the pictures they advertise.You can be the judge with the pictures I am leaving here.Just know that if you decide to proceed, you are going to waste hours trying to make them understand the issue and them going in unproductive weaponized circles of non-resolution.

Die verarbeitung und das Holz selber sieht anders aus als in der Beschreibung.Wir haben auch die größere Variante vom gleichen Hersteller, diese gleicht genau der Beschreibung.Hier aber haben wir Astlöcher, eine andere Holzfarbe und wahrscheinlich auch ganz anderes Holz.Die Verarbeitung ist ganz anders. Zum Beispiel sind die Ränder einfach abgesägt un nicht geschliffen.Es scheint ein anderes Produkt zu sein. Für den Preis nicht akzeptabel.

When you step On the mat you can feel the middle sink in from your weight. Not well made for the price. I weight 165 lbs. There is no middle support bar. It’s disappointing lwhen such an expensive product is so poorly made. I do not recommend purchasing this one.
