It’s an inexpensive easy install solution to shade plants, catio, patio, motorcycle etc. that works!
I purchased this kit for use on one of the back patios. I have a bucket garden under shade cloths, but when August and September rolls around the plants require even more protection and ventilation to avoid becoming dehydrated. The sun, heat, and humidity is absolutely brutal on vegetables & plants not indigenous to the area (including us humans). This cloth was an inexpensive solution that does a fantastic job of “muting” or filtering the sun and the heat, which in turn extended my tomato and pepper growing season without sunscald or tomatoes turning to orange ‘drips’/teardrops. It provides excellent UV protection and shade depending on your cloth positioning (horizontally or vertically), your needs, and the position/angle of the sun. Fall is now here and the cloth is the perfect awning for my orchids and bromeliads to have ‘spring break’. You can actually feel the difference in temperature when stepping out from under the cloth into the hot sun. The package does come with the hardware needed to attach it, but the easier more effective solution for me was to run rope through the D-rings to avoid needing a ladder for quick removal. It billows out nicely during the daily ‘late afternoon thunderstorms’ and the seam strength, stitching and corners have survived through strong wind gusts & heavy blowing rains from Hurricane Debby. It wasn’t intentional leaving it up, it was merely something I forgot to remove with all the preparations I had to do. When the cloth was removed for Hurricane Helene, there was no noticeable stretching or tearing of fabric, color fading or mold. The cloth is not waterproof, so with heavy rain it does pool up in the center as it rains through, but the material was quick to dry. It is versatile and can be used to also shade your catio space, makeshift greenhouse, motorcycle/sports car, horse/cattle, as well as your outdoor patio. Overall, the cloth looks good, is easy to attach, appears durable, and it blocks enough sun and heat to lower the area temperature. For the size, price and fast shipping, this was definitely worth it! 5 Stars!

Great for the price
We’ve purchased 3 of these for our pergola and backyard space. They provide good shade and are easy to put up. We take ours down during bad weather just to make them last longer. Can’t beat the price for the value they provide.

Blue Sunshade: Patio Perfect! ☀️
This blue sunshade is great! It really blocks the sun on our patio and even helps cool down the nearby family room. The bright blue color is nice, and the material feels durable. It came with ties (a bit slippery to use, but okay). My measurements were a little off as it stretches, but I made it fit! Overall, I really like it and it’s super useful for sunny days. Definitely worth it!

Helped reduce AC use
Helped keep the south side of our house much cooler than last year. We live in a very windy area and did not have any issues with rips or tears. Still let light in, which was a huge plus.

Matches performance, but exceeds construction quality compared to other solar shades purchased
This past summer we had to cut down an 85 foot tall tree that shaded our western exposure. Needless to say, the loss of shade directly impacted comfort levels in the house, our utility bill and usability of our back patio. As it was our practice to hang a solar shade over a corner of our patio, we have had a few sails in play for the last five years. We purchased this shade to fill in a gap after designing a new solar shade layout to get the sun off of a 28’x13′ concrete patio and the back wall of our house. It exceeded expectations. Compared to the other two brands that we hang up, the Tronssien has the better design at the contact points. We had some serious weather this year, including a tiny tornado that brushed by our house. I used a combination of the included ropes and stainless steel wire with turnbuckles to secure my solar shades and even in gusts that pushed 70mph, these did not tear or show any obvious damage at the contact points!

LOVE my sunshade! You will too!
Wow, these things really are a game changer! I live on a boat, and used those plastic tarps (blue standard, and brown heavy duty) for many years, primarily as a means to keep the sun off of my boat during the hot months of the year, as I don’t have AC.They work OK, for a while. But then they block a lot of airflow, get noisily flapping and flogging when the wind blows, and tend to fail in a number of different ways over time. Wind ripping the grommets out, tears, lasting only a few weeks or perhaps a bit over a month before needing $$ replacement…And then I found these sunshades, and it’s a whole new world! These things are the bomb-diddly! The FAR outlast the tarps in the harsh southern UV, they are *quiet* when it gets windy, they are built strong (I’ve yet to have one fail in 3 years, even in winds of 50 mph or more), and best – they let air in while providing great shade and keeping most of the heat from sunshine out.I now have a half dozen of these sunshades – I use them on my boat, at my work shed, and even out on the dock to provide a shaded seating area. While they initially seem to cost more than those tarps, they really don’t, as they last years without needing replacement, and do the job much better in every way.
