Why is the result not very accurate when I measure according to the manual?
Detection results can vary with humidity (especially in winter), material, texture, and paint.
Unsuitable materials include ceramic, glass, cement, and infill slats. Wood detection may be inaccurate in winter; multiple scans are recommended.
Why is the detector beeping and giving false signals even when there are no wires?
1. The detection environment is too dry or too humid.
2. Static electricity interference (especially in winter).
What if I still can’t detect AC beams or the detection is inaccurate even after following the precautions?
Consider whether the wire is buried deeper than the detection range (1.97 inches/50mm) or is wrapped in a metal conduit. Try switching to metal detection mode.

Extreme disappointment
When purchasing a stud finder, you expect it to be able to find studs. Well don’t look to this one! Didn’t find one single stud. Not one. Couldn’t even find the header over the door. I just took a guess when busting a hole through the wall.The laser level and electricity finder functions seem to work.

I am updating this review because the seller was very helpful and cares about the products they sell to customers, and so if they don’t work correctly, the seller will make it right.This stud finder will tell you there is a stud and so to confirm, you slide it across the wall again and it tells you another area where the stud is supposed to be within just a few inches from where it said it was. So try again, and it will find the stud, again not in the same place as one of the first two areas. So I put the nail where it showed a stud twice, yet there wasn’t a stud. It was about a fourth of an inch beside it. This may just be one bad one out of the bunch.

Okay, I just used the Sunmay stud finder for my latest project, and I have to say, I’m genuinely impressed. I’m really happy with this stud finder!! It’s easy to use and has way more features than the one I had been using before. I used both the stud finder and the built in level to hang up my TV, and it was super accurate and made the job quick and stress free.The quality is great and it doesn’t feel cheap at all, and the LCD display and added functions make it really convenient. I also have to note that I love that it comes in purple. It’s a pretty color and a refreshing change from the usual boring black or gray tools. Overall, this is a reliable, well made tool that also happens to look very cute in my toolbox.
