Paint job leaves much to be desired, but lamp itself works great
I like this lamp for the most part, but there are a couple of things to be aware of if you’re thinking of ordering one.I’ll name the cons first. The switch which sits on the floor, is not weighted. It being weighted would be really helpful to keep it in the correct position. Since it’s so light you have to work the cord and kind of trap it in a way that keeps the switch properly positioned so that you can click it on and off with your foot. The switch does work really well though and is very responsive. It also makes a satisfying click sound which I really like. I do worry that since it is such a lightweight plastic piece, that if you’re not careful, over time, it could end up cracking. So I do wish there were an option to switch it on and off up at the top of the lamp as well.The hood or lamp shade has a very bad paint job. You can see lots of white through the black paint. It’s obvious it was airbrushed and they missed large swaths when it comes to filling in the color. This doesn’t affect the functionality of the lamp but it does take away from its attractiveness for sure. Kind of makes me wish I had ordered the gold one instead because with all of the speckles in the paint it makes it look really cheap.I do love the height of the lamp. It’s perfect for placing next to a recliner because the light will be directed into the immediate area below rather than brightening up a whole room. It’s good for night time. I do wish the light was more adjustable in both brightness and direction but I didn’t expect the lampshade to be posible so I knew what I was getting.It was extremely easy to assemble. It has a heavy weighted base and then multiple short poles that screw together with the cord running through all of it and straight out the bottom, so as you attach the poles you slowly start pulling the cord through the bottom to tighten things up. It literally took me a few minutes to completely assemble.I would absolutely order this again, but knowing that the paint job might not be full or complete makes me question whether I would pay this much for it. I would definitely order it if it were on sale though.I had no issues with the light flickering since, as I said, the switch works great. On that note, there is no remote control with this lamp. It has the floor switch and that is it.

Perfect for dark corners
It’s a nice looking lamp. I have it in the corner of my office that was a little dark. Simple and quick to assemble. I did by the black color and did not have the issue with the paint. Great looking lamp.

This lamp is modern and sturdy. It puts off a good amount of light(bright) without being blinding. I like the design and the quality is good. Its slim design makes it fit in just about any location which makes is functional and easy to use. It blends in nicely with my decor and I feel like it would go with most decor as it is sleek and simple.
