The Rockwell 4-1/2” Compact Circular Saw is an effective and hassle-free replacement for a traditional circ saw. Just grab it and go when you need to make some quick rip or plunge cuts—no need to lug out the bulky full-size saw. Even though it has the functionality to handle all sorts of projects, this saw was made for 2” lumber, cutting 2x4s in a single pass. Its lightweight design (only 5 lbs) allows for better control of the tool so you can operate it with just one hand. And it makes overhead cutting much more of a possibility than with a full-size saw. The grip is comfortable to use for extended periods. And the smaller blade allows the 5-amp motor to spin it up to 3,500 rpm, achieving the speeds of much larger saws while putting less strain on the motor for more efficient energy usage and increased life of the tool. The easy to access depth adjustment lever allows for a maximum cutting depth of 1-11/16” at 90. While the bevel lever lets you make the most common angled cuts from 0-45, with a maximum cutting depth of 1-1/8” on those cuts. Again, this saw excels at 2x4s, but is also awesome on plywood, hardwood flooring, pegboard, dowels, molding and more. Comes with one 24T TCT blade, a parallel guide, vacuum adapter, and blade key.
[MORE MANEUVERABILITY] All the functionality of a full-size circular saw but in a compact design that’s easier to use, and easier to make quick cuts with
[REAR MOTOR] For a more balanced feel. With the motor in the handle, you control much of the weight of the saw with just the palm of your hand for smoother movements
[EASY DEPTH SETTING] The readily accessible adjustment lever lets you change the cut on the fly, and the bevel adjustment lever enables you to make cuts from 0-45°
[SPINDLE LOCK BUTTON] For quick and safe blade changes. Just grab the included blade key and switch out any brand’s 4-1/2” blade
[IMPROVED BLADE VISIBILITY] The left-handed blade housing allows you to see exactly where you’re cutting, for straighter, more accurate cuts
[BUILT-IN VAC PORT] Hook up a dust-vac and pull debris right out of the air while the saw is in use—this feature significantly improves visibility and air quality

Great saw for smaller jobs…earned a spot in my inner circle of tools.
I’ve used a larger 7 1/2 inch Dewalt circular saw for years. But now it’s getting cobwebs because of this Rockwell RK3441K compact saw. This compacts saw is so darn handy, lays easily in my tool bag, is more convenient than my larger traditional circular saw to tot around that it’s becoming my go-to saw for small to intermediate cuts in wood and metal. It has a nice /precise /quality rip fence and angle cut feature and the knobs are quick and secure to set any angle cut. I particularly love the blade being on the left side of the drive. This dramatically increased my vision over the cut so it’s safer, more accurate, user friendly and better results. My hands are average size (size 8-9 glove size Large) and I find the grip size /surface & design easy to hold on to and user friendly. For small hands this might be a challenge. The trigger pull is less complicated that other saws this size with makes this model Rockwell easier to operate and control while cutting than all other saws this size…in my opinion. The blade turns as a slower RPM than my full size Dewalt, but if you slow down your feed this saw handles anything I throw it’s way giving a clean crisp cut and does not bog down. For big tough jobs simply use a bigger saw. The blade I found Best for all around cuts in wood /metal /longevity was a Freud D0436X Diablo 4-3/8-Inch 36 Tooth ATB Cordless Trim Saw Blade that I’ve used with no issues at all.I am not easy to impress, but this compact medium duty Rockwell has earned its way into my inner circle of tools. I am Very pleased with the quality features, portability and durability of this handy saw. Recommend this without reservations and consider the hundred dollar cost a fair value.—-UPDATE—-Have used this Rockwell saw for several months now and and it’s still rock solid. No issues at all. The adjustable guide fence is real handy,…quick and secure adjustment lever,…easy to make quick /secure fence adjustments.I’ve also used this saw in unconventional situations where I had to remove material from wood in such a way I was able to turn the saw over, expose the blade and carefully angle the wood into the blade to free-hand & create a router type effect. It was the only way to finish a particular cut and this saw has the flexibility to help. Never know what you’ll run into during a project and glad this saw has extra flexibility to adapt. Continues to earn my unqualified recommendation!

Great little saw!
We bought this Rockwell as a gift to a young man who has done some work around our place. I’ve had one for several years and he had used it while doing some renovations on a couple of properties we have. He was continually praising it, and he owns several Milwaukee power tools. At one point after using it he stated “Milwaukee needs to step up their game!” I bought this one for less than the one I bought at Lowes four years ago and about $25 less than Lowes has them now. Great little saws!

Great compact circular saw
The saw works great. It’s exactly what I needed to cut the panels and trim the openings for my new shed. I especially like the light weight; its much easier to control and hold (e.g., overhead) then a conventionally sized circular saw.. My only complaints are minor: the blade did become loosened after the first couple of uses, and the safety switch impeded use under some conditions. The loose blade – as noted by some other reviews – only occurred one time, and upon tightening I have never had a problem since. The placement of the safety switch make it hard to use the saw in overhead or vertical applications. Of course, these are dangerous situations, so perhaps the designers were giving us a little hint to discourage improper use. Overall, I am very happy with this saw and would highly recommend it’s purchase.

So far it’s working
When it works, it works well. Smooth straight cuts, can handle thick stock (but you have to go very slow to not bog down the small motor). My take is 3/4″ ply is about as thick as you want go go.- I accidentally cut 1.25″ ply when I cut a sheet of 3/4 laid over a 1/2″ sheet, it was slow going but it did it, too slow in my opinion. Might be ok for 2×4’s as long as you don’t need to cut a lot of them.- 3/4″ ply is fine, not super fast but gets the job done reasonably well. You can see from the videos that 1/2″ stock is where this thing really shines, so my take is 1/2″ to 3/4″ stock is the sweet spot for this saw.- the parallel guide is great (but don’t overtighten the bolt, this is not a heavy duty tool), makes it almost almost as good as a small table saw for getting straight cuts.- based on other reviews I was careful to not bog down the motor or hit anything that would suddenly stop the blade.- I didn’t use the low-tooth blade that came with it, I used 120T ply blades for everything (including maple), those cut smoother and don’t bind up as easily, I wonder if that’s why others have seen the main drive bolt break.Overall it’s a lighter duty tool, the small, lightweight, easy-to-handle nature is it’s appeal, and it’s a winner there for me as long as it will last. I’ll only break out the bigger saws when needed, which won’t be most of the time.

This is an awesome saw, it is one handed so you need a little bit of training and get a straight cuts, but after this learning time the cuts are well done and easy, it is really great product, it looks really well made and with quality materials, about the people who said about the problem with screw that holds in place the saw is because they are over tightening it, it must be set with just a touch not tight, due to rotation the screw is tightening so it could be broken if over thigth, for sure the peaple wich is complaining about is because they have not used saw of any kind. I do recommend this product.

Great saw for cutting lumber/plywood around the house, have used it numerous times to rip plywood and cut lumber, worked flawlessly. Not as easy to maneuver as a cordless but has plenty of power and never have to charge batteries.Recommended!

El producto es práctico y funciona muy bien, claro hay que tener los cuidados adecuados para evitar cualquier tipo de accidente. En mi caso lo uso para cortar madera de maximo 1 1/4” y triplay de hasta 3/4”.

I bought this saw to replace a full-sized circular saw I have mounted permanently on a Kreg Accu-Cut. The saw is small, but comparatively heafty for its size. There is a bit of a learning curve to using it after using a regular circular saw, but it is worth the effort. It will cut wood up to 1 1/2″ thick and has blades available for other materials as well. I chose this saw over the Versacut because of the bevel ability.

Bonne machine , mais difficile d’atteindre la gache de mise en marche car le diamètre un peu gros et de petites mains rendent la tâche de démarrer la machine un peu hardue. Moteur puissant . Très satisfait malgré tout.Robert , Bromont.
