A very unsexy solution to a very real bathroom argument
I love this thing because it quietly ended a long-running disagreement in my house. I like to put a bath mat down for the shower and then pick it up afterward so it stays clean and dry for the next person. My husband likes a clean mat too, he just doesn’t like the picking-up part. This solves that completely. It stays dry, doesn’t get gross, and doesn’t need to be moved, washed, or negotiated over. It just lives there and behaves. It looks better in person than I expected. The gray is clean and modern, not cheap-looking, and the slatted design lets water drain instead of soaking in. I have it sitting on top of a regular floor mat to catch drips, and that setup works really well. If it gets dirty, you wipe it off and move on. The size is also generous, which I really appreciate. I’m not a small person and I feel completely comfortable standing on it with a normal stance. It doesn’t feel dainty or undersized at all.Even though it feels more like a solid surface than a rug, it doesn’t feel slick when wet. That was one of my concerns going in, and it hasn’t been an issue. It feels solid underfoot and doesn’t slide around. One small thing worth noting is that it creaked a bit the first few times we stepped on it, almost like it needed a short break-in period, but that mostly went away once it settled and it never felt unstable. This does sit higher than a traditional fabric mat, so it’s something you notice when you step into the bathroom. If you want something floppy and forgiving, this isn’t that. But if your goal is keeping the bathroom cleaner and drier without constant fuss, this works extremely well.I didn’t expect to have strong feelings about a bathroom mat, but here we are. It’s simple, functional, and genuinely satisfying to use.

Works well and looks good as an outside mat on our deck
This bathroom mat is strong, slip resistant and allows air circulation. My bathroom floor measurements were not accurate so I can’t use it the bathroom (the commode sticks out too far!).However, it is perfect as a mat on on the deck entry to the house. The slats are spaced to allow the dirt from garden shoes to fall through and most important, the air to circulate to avoid mold and mildew. The mat is very sturdy for every day traffic and given wood-plastic material, will likely stand up to the intense southern exposure. It will be easy to clean it off with the hose. I like that when it is wet, it is not slippery. I can’t use outside mats that will soak up the rain and generate mildew, so I am very happy with this product as an outside wood-plastic mat at our deck entry.

Versatile, Functional, and Solid Construction
The Goodleben Wood-Plastic Bathroom Mat is exceptionally versatile. Though sold as a bathroom mat, it has many other uses. We’re using it in our pool deck box to lift our pool cleaners off the bottom, preventing mold and mildew underneath, which is especially important in hot, humid Southern weather. The slatted design helps prevent unwanted growth. After nearly a month of use, we have had no issues with mold or mildew. The mat is made from HDPS Wood-Plastic Composite and looks like wood. I ordered the larger bamboo mat, and it is gorgeous. The mat is durable, stable, and supports up to 400 pounds. It measures 31.5 by 18 inches and has 18 rubber feet that protects any surface it sits on. The feet also prevent slipping, which is important for safety. Cleaning is easy; just rinse or wipe with a damp cloth.I stood on it to check comfort. It feels safe, sturdy, and smooth under my feet. If we ever use it as a bathroom mat, I will trust stepping out of the shower onto it. This mat deserves five stars, and I highly recommend it for its versatility, functionality, and solid construction.

Not for Bathrooms, Good for Outdoor Use
If you value your toes, I’d strongly advise against using this as a bathroom mat. No matter how careful you are, the edges will catch you, and it’s simply not suited for indoor barefoot use. The material is plastic, but it’s cleverly designed to mimic the look and feel of wood. There’s a bit of flex in the construction, which I assume is intentional so it can handle weight without cracking. At first, I thought this purchase was a mistake, but I managed to repurpose it as an outdoor doormat—and that’s where it really shines. Our porch gets a lot of sun, which quickly turns wet spots into slippery, icy patches. This mat has enough spacing and gaps to let water drain through, reducing the risk of slipping. It’s functional, sturdy, and much better suited for outdoor use than indoors.I’ll need to see how it holds up through the peak winter months, but with its plastic build and 400 lb load capacity, I’m optimistic it will last. What could have been a wasted purchase turned into a practical solution for our porch.

Great For Outdoor
As others have noted, I too found this better to use outdoors or in the garage. I could see this working well in the shower as a non-slip mat.If you have tile floors in your bathroom, I think this makes more sense, but if not given enough clearance, you may stub your toe — not fun for the clumsy type or those with balance issues. This mat seems to be durable enough to withstand all weather, although I do wonder if the sun will fade it.This seems to be well-suited for hot tubs or even as a shoe mat for drying snow boots!I think it’s a good item and I would recommend it for these purposes. The size is adequate and it looks nice.
