Beautiful, but dangerous
I wanted to like this mat, but I can’t.The mat is beautifully made and sturdy. It feels wonderful to stand on. The ridges are like a gentle foot massage. If standing on a cold tile floor it damp feet is bad, standing on warm bamboo ridges with air circulating under your feet is totally opposite. It’s great. T he rubber feet have little meat tenderizer teeth on them to squish into smooth floors or grip any texture on a typical bathroom floor. The teeth also minimize contact area, allowing moisture to evaporate fully, preventing water damage and mold growth. And I love bamboo for interior surfaces.What’s not to like? The mat is 1.2″ (30 mm) high. Nothing on the floor of a house should be over an inch high with square edges. Transitions to carpets, tile floors, and thresholds aren’t square like this. The top edge around the standing surface of this mat is not exactly sharp, but it could take skin off when you stub your toe on it. The top edge is uncomfortable to run the bottom of my foot over. I estimate it is finished with a 1/16″ or 1/32″ router bit, and that is all the relief you get before the 1.2″ (30 mm) vertical toe-stubbing cliff. The mat is also a tripping hazard.I am trying to find a different use for this mat. It looks great, and it belongs somewhere.Yes, two cookie sheets fit side-by-side on it. Maybe it’s a cooling rack. Does bamboo and whatever they finish it with stand up to 350 degree cookies? I don’t want to ruin the mat finding out.It could be an extra drying rack for pots and pans that won’t fit in the dish rack. It’s designed for freshly bathed feet, so it should work with freshly bathed dishes. Just have to find a place to store it when I’m not cooking for 12 people.I think this mat’s true calling is as a pallet for putting under cardboard boxes in the garage or the basement. It keeps them off the damp floor and lets air circulate underneath. The problem with that plan is the price tag. It’s a pretty expensive pallet.Maybe a shoe rack. In the right house, I think this mat would be great. Just keep it out of the walkways.This mat would serve its intended purpose beautifully if the designer had designed the edges with smooth, gradual transitions. Just look at all the smooth, gradual transitions on the floor of a typical house. That is how things should be built when people’s feet have to walk around them.I am sorry. Thank you so much for sending me this free item for evaluation. You made a beautiful thing. The design just needs a little more work to make it safe for household use.

Works well, a bit uncomfy
It’s a nice mat for within the shower. It feels sturdy and it definitely stops slipping. But, it’s not the most comfortable thing as it is wood slats.
