Works great. I bought this to check moisture content of logs i slabbed. To verify it’s accuracy i simply took measurements of furniture and wood in my house which i know are dry to reference from.

Easy use of the product
It doesn’t give a good reading all the time. If you test it on a wet piece of wood and clean the moisture of the sensor, it still gives you the same reading on a dry piece of wood as the wet piece of wood. Goes off for high reading also when not touching anything. Quality is good,but functionality not very good at all

Truly enjoy this stud finder.
Was working on my son’s house was having problems with his stud finder purchased this one as a replacement. As you know you can never tell a product would be good or not. I liked it so much I gave my son the one we were using and purses another one for myself. Very durable very accurate works extremely well.

Stay on top of the moisture in your house!
Overall I like it.It was very easy to use and to understand. There’s a sensor in the back, I took a picture, that is very sensitive, can even take moisture even from my hand.It seems accurate enough with the readings. I wet my hand to see how it would do, and it beeped with urgency and loud. It feels of decent quality and it will work for all DIYers as well as entry professionals. The size is a little bigger than your hand, so is easy to carry and put it in your work bag.The only downside is that is in Celsius degrees, couldn’t figure out how to swap it to Farenheit, the instructions didn’t say it could be done. Not a big problem for me, since I’m used to both systems, but other people will need a calculator/google to put it into a temperature you can tell better.

FNIRSI WMT-10 Rechargable Wood Moisture Meter, Pinless, Support Data Hold and Record, Flashlight. for Lumber, Concrete, Drywall, etc.I find that this moisture meter is quite easy to use, along with having a built-in rechargeable battery, good display, flashlight, and updatable firmware makes this a good purchase.I have compared this to another (more expensive) meter that I have (also pinless) and find that in most cases they are relatively close.The Fnirsi meter may not scan quite as deep, but it doesn’t need recalibration every time you move or change the position of your hand, it is rechargeable (my other one isn’t), it seems to be fairly robust (no parts that stick out) and is priced better.Also, it never hurts to have a built-in flashlight.It measures just under 6″x3″ and is 1″ thick.Just a note that the website has a downloadable manual (although the provided manual is quite good), but currently no firmware updates or other software for this meter.The meter also includes a USB-A to USB-C charging cable.I’m happy with other tools I have from Fnirsi and this meter doesn’t seem to be an exception to their good quality.When using make sure that you have the correct mode selected for what material you are measuring as it will change the reading depending on the mode.5 stars.

What’s Included:- Detector, USB-C charging cable, and a user manualFirst Impressions:The device is rechargeable via a USB-C cable but does not come with a wall adapter.Device is fairly compact and fits in my hands comfortably.Device is fairly easy to use even without reading the manual, just turn it on and you’re ready to start scanning.The probe has a max scanning depth of approx. 17mm, so you may need to make direct contact with the surface for the probe to detect moisture. The device works like a stud finder as it has the sensor on the back of the device. You will need to keep your hands away from the senor as it will detect high levels of moisture.The display is bright, large and easy to read. It shows you the moisture % value numerically, via a graph, as well by an audible beep. It also provides you the max detected values of your scan and you can hold/save the values to document. The saved readings can be accessed in the settings and it shows the material/mode and moisture percentage.I’m not a huge fan of placing the entire back of the device on the surface vs having the senor on the top edge. There are some areas/surfaces you won’t be able to place a large flat device onto, so the senor on the top would provide better precision.The device also has a built-in flashlight on the back, so you can see what you’re doing in dark spaces.Pros:- Pinless detector, so no need to insert anything into the wall/material, so ideal for hard surfaces like tile or hardwood floors.- 4 modes allowing you to select from a list of materials/surfaces from Plaster Wall/Brick Wall/Softwood/Hardwood.- Detection not affected by metal/wires in the wall.- Rechargeable via USB-C, no need for batteries.Cons:- Detection up to 17mm depth, which is less than another detector I’ve recently used.- Senor on the back functions like a stud finder. The large senor pad needs to be placed flat on the wall/surface, but this lacks precision vs having the sensor on the top edge.Final Impression:Overall, the FNIRSI pinless moisture meter worked well. Provides an easy-to-read display so you know when there may be an issue with moisture in your walls/wood. The pinless design allows detection without any damage to the surfaces but I’m not a fan of the location of the sensor and the detection depth.At the time of this review, the meter was priced at $38.99 which is on par with comparable products on Amazon.
