Pin-type moisture meter with robust well-mounted pins and a large backlit LCD display that is easy to read even in dark and hard to reach places. Great small handheld tool for many industrial and home inspection uses.
Features 7 material settings to measure moisture of firewood logs, carpet, sheetrock, cement, gypsum, mortar, bricks, and other materials.
Get the maximum heat out of your firewood by making sure it’s properly seasoned (15-20% moisture content). Check softwood and hardwood lumber for woodworking projects. Probe floors and walls for flood damage and leaks. Detect water in walls if you suspect a burst frozen pipe or mold. Check moisture levels of floor boards, subfloor and concrete before installing wood flooring.
The ennoLogic moisture detector is a professional instrument that produces accurate, stable and repeatable readings, and does not give widely varying results. Do make sure you select the correct material setting, which includes two different types of wood, and five building materials including cement, mortar and bricks. The meter has an exceptionally wide range, it can measure moisture levels as low as 0.1% in certain building materials, and 7% for wood.
Use the handy Hold function to freeze a reading for later viewing, and MAX and MIN display to evaluate a range of measurements. Includes air temperature sensor that can be configured to read Celsius or Fahrenheit. Temperature unit and last used material setting is remembered after power off. Powered by 3 AAA batteries (included), auto-power off after 10 minutes. Large protective cap and quality padded holster make storing, carrying and transporting this handy little gadget a breeze.

Not for the professional
I dont like writing bad reviews or giving products or services low stars because as a business owner I know it can really hurt so I will just educate on this one. Maybe I was just expecting more. This thing is tiny. Hard to use. Hard to read. It does detect moisture but it is not for the professional. I could take a reading but to get the next I had to turn it off and back on and reset the settings then test again. The return was easy and purchased a more professional meter. Conclusion is if you are in the flood industry spend the money and get a better meter. If you just need a meter for the occasional detection this may be for you. I think with a few tweaks this could be a good meter to get in tight spaces. 5 stars because it does detect moisture.

Decent meter for home inspectors
Decent meter. Does what it says. I do have some others I like that are smaller but I use this as a backup and confirmation on various materials since it has a wide selection. I use it in property inspections for detecting moisture in mostly wood and drywall. For EIFS or other items, I would recommend different equipment designed specifically for it. Steve DoveInspections

Great moisture meter
With several different settings, this moisture meter is great.

Can’t believe some of the negative reviews.
Works as described. It’s a little smaller than I had envisioned, a bit hard to hold for fat hands with arthritis, but so what? It works great. Now, for those complaining about things like can’t figure out how to change from C to F – Read the Directions! It’s simple. For those who can’t figure how to change other settings – Read the Directions! For those who can’t read it in small places or in dark places – Read the Directions! Just hit the hold button, and the backlight button. For the one who thinks he has to turn it off after each reading in order to get another one – Read the Directions! Don’t have to do anything to go from reading one place to the next. And if you do turn it off, well, then it resets, and you can’t go back and get max and min readings. Sooo… Read the Directions! It’s simple to use. One thing though, it takes a long time for the temperature reading to settle down to the ambient temperature. I don’t know about other users, but I bought this thing to read moisture, and the built in thermometer is only an afterthought.

After my review, the seller refunded without even being asked. Would buy again from this seller.
Sometimes the power button works to turn the unit off; and other times it does not do so. Also, after each measurement, I have to go through the self test to reset and take another measurement. I would return it, except that I got too busy with my project and missed the return time window.

It works
I don’t have much grounds for comparison, but this seems to work sufficiently for my purposes (seeing if the corner of our living room has dried out).

Works on more than average the number of materials that other moisture readers
I used this product on what I believed to be a slab leak on my carpet. Easy to use and understand. When the remediation company came out to give an estimate for repair, they commented that the moisture meter I bought was better quality than a lot on the market for homeowners use.

Too complicated
This product was too complicated. We read the booklet and still couldn’t figure out how to use it or read the measures.

Just an average moisture meter. If you want a good meter you have to spend more than £150. Good enough for DIY.
