Easy to install and program!
I love it. It really works well, is not that hard to install if you’re a little bit handy, and really isn’t that hard to program. I like it because you can program wake up, leave, return and bedtime temperature AND time. There’s one setting for weekdays and one for weekend. Too hot? Too cold? Bump it up or down easily. It’ll reset at the next programmed time or just push a button to override it completely. Screen is ready to read. I wear glasses and can read all the details on the screen.

Old system new look
Bought this for 2 wire single stage gas boiler / baseboard heat. It replaced an old one that wasn’t programmable (just up or down).Considered lots of smart options but without a common wire they all inevitably run out of juice. Power ‘stealing’ doesn’t really work.This is a perfect solution to modernize heating in my 150 year old MA home.Installation was easy, initial setup was clear with the manual, and setting the program was simple and straightforward.When I first opened the manual I saw “‘C’ wire required” listed and got worried, but it is a shared manual with the WiFi enabled versions. You don’t need a C wire, it works great with just two wires.

Honeywell Thermostat Delivers Great Performance and Affordable Price
Easy to connect and install, improves over previous model. When setting up schedule, there’s only one hour and minute setting for both heat and cool, unlike earlier versions which allowed separate settings to be entered.Bonus new feature, the addition of “CIRC” to fan functions “AUTO” and “ON”. CIRC is the intermittent activation of the fan for short periods of time regardless of Heat or Cool, to keep the air circulating. Very useful.Well worth it, very good value for the price.

No problems but instructions could be a little better
Some reviews say the installation of the unit is complicated. Not really. There are a few one-time initial set-up settings but nothing I would consider complicated. My only VERY small complaint is that the same installation/instruction booklet is used for 3 similar models that have different features and the instructions don’t clearly map out the steps applicable to this model. You realize this when going through the install/set-up and discover certain options and settings are not available. Again, not a major issue but I can see how this could cause confusion and frustration for some. I would recommend this to a friend looking for a programmable non-wifi thermostat.

Great thermostat with a lot of options
Great thermostat!!! Lots of options and easy to install. Great value!! Love that there was a switch to have one red wire or two. Most thermostats have you cut the jumper if you wanted two or add a jumper. Lots of options. Wanted to program a single week, not 5-2 or 5-1-1. Easy to read screen and very accurate.Two things I wish it had. 1) bluetooth so you could change/program it from your phone 2) an external sensor to place somewhere else

Excellent Display and Features
I have a 2-wire, heat-only system. This was easy to install except there was some confusion because the instructions want a tab pushed up – not informing you that its only necessary for a 2 stage system. I like the display and the ‘hard’ buttons are much better than the ‘soft’ buttons on my old thermostat.
