I used them for a PVC composite deck assembly. They did the job, but they slip here and there. The stick pads don’t stay on, otherwise would give a 5 star

I had to weld the center bolt on because it attaches by 2 threads. I hope this thing is tariffed into oblivion. No instructions for a piece of junk. DO NOT BUY THIS. I FEEL ROBBED.

Huge potential but the threaded portion is too small for to be useful. The screw connects with just a sliver of thread; it stripped the first time I used it and had to get a different deck board straightener, as I could not rethread it. There are better tools out there that are easier to use.

First off, how hard would it be to print off a small sheet of paper with the assembly instructions??Secondly, great, you decided to add assembly instructions to the listing, but THEY ARE WRONG.Step(?) 03 clearly shows to put the handle bracket on top of the wheel and screw (twist) it into the wheel. However, all 5 holes in the wheel are too big for the supplied bolts to screw into. So you are literally screwing the handle into nothing. What you actually need to do is insert the bolts from the opposite side (from the bottom up in the picture) because then you can screw the bolts through the wheel and into the handle.You can then do Step 02 and screw the bolt through the spacer into the body. The picture shows that this bolt will screw all the way in, but it won’t. The space is too tall for that. So there is a 1/4″ gap between the top of the bolt and the top of the wheel.Now, let’s say you’ve been lucky enough to make it this far. Your reward? It doesn’t even work. There is no leverage to pull the board in because the wheel rotates.Worst. Design. Ever!Also, in the package there are 4 foam pads, not the two rubber ones that go on the end of the clamps, but 4 thicker foam pads that were randomly stuck to the parts. There is no mention of them or where they should go. No idea what they are for.

I liked the idea of this, so I wanted to try it, but not being familiar with this tool would have helped to have some basic instructions on assembly and use. I went off the picture and managed to mimic mine, but there are no nuts to keep it level, straight or together. It might be fine for light duty straightening, but I can easily do that with my thigh and keep my hands free to screw in the board when building a deck. With this, you need both hands for the tool and the bracket is not very strong to clamp it tightly. Poor design and lack of instructions.
