Did what I needed it to do
This is my first oscillating saw so not sure to the quality or functioning of others but so far only thing I would say was a pain was the amount of noise this thing makes when free held or cutting anything and the crazy amount of vibrations (though that may just be a byproduct of the function).But as far as it’s function is concerned it cuts. I burned one of the supplied blades (2 supplied) in the leaning process while cutting a hardened lag screw but it still cut it.Be careful of the blades you buy and their compatibility as I bought a “compatible” set on Amazon and ran in to an issue of the blades not fully sitting to the base. I found that with the non-craftsmen blades you have to put extra pressure on the release lever to get a better lock while in use. Maybe a better tension spring in the mechanism could hold down the blade better. But I think the whole quick release mechanism is lacking in general and would be better if it was an old manual lock.Battery life is good for small projects but wouldn’t hold up to occasional use or long jobsI haven’t really let it rip at full speed so I guess it’s pretty fast.

AWESOME TOOL
I had to remove sheetrock from a wall with tile on it (kitchen backsplash). I was at a loss and trying to hit the tile/sheetrock with a hammer that was a disaster. I looked at some online videos and this tool was being used. I bought this and OMG what a difference. It comes with different attachments for different uses. It also has variable speeds so I used a slower speed on the sheetrock and a faster speed on the wood shims. I was able to take out three 3×3′ areas in less than ten minutes. It was fantastic. Then I switched the cutting attachment and used it to cut some wood shims that were placed under a recently placed toilet. I can’t imagine not having this as an option to use.
