They do the job very well!
I bought my kids some bunkbeds that have stairs on the side. The stairs feel quite slippery to me so I bought these carpet squares to put on the steps. They are very easy to cut down the size with lots of grid patterns to choose from on the back.So far they stay on beautifully without any peel away.If I had to complain about anything, the backing plastic is thin and does not like to come off. It was quite a chore, but worth it in the end with how well they stick.

I knew they were cheap and thin but for the money and my use they are perfect.
Super thin, almost no padding but it’s a cheap floor until I can decide later if I want a bamboo or more carpet installed. One thing to mention is it more of a blue cast gray. When you put it down and almost looks more blue than gray. I am using an area rug over it where we walk beside the bed. Floated installation instead of using the adhesive to stick to the floor because it’s temporary and I wanted it to come up within the year or so. If you need value cover get it but expect nothing more than something to cover the subfloor. But I went into this reading the reviews and I checked the boxes for color match before installing. The sizes were the same in the multiple boxes and the color was the same. Again I didn’t use the adhesive on the back as I installed using carpet tape at the 4 corners and got good at that. When you cut them, have a wooden block or 2 x 4 at least 14” long to lay the tile on and cut with carpet knife. I used goo gone to clean the blade every so often to keep it clean and sharp. You will still see the squares. Only thing I would do differently is if I wanted something permanent, I’d have gone with 24” or larger tiles, but I’m a fan of saving money for something I’m not going to use long. They vacuumed well too.

Peel, peel, peel, peel and finally stick
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to peel the back off velcro if it was twice as hard as usual? For several hours? On your knees? Well if that’s your thing, these carpet tiles are for you! I just yesterday installed a box of these (30 tiles) and wanted to do a review while its fresh in my head.The good: If you maintain your sanity long enough to get a box of them down, they look pretty good and feel pretty good to walk on. As for their longevity, I cannot attest to. My dog would give 2 thumbs up, if she had thumbs. They’re easy to cut and shape with a sharp knife.The bad: As mentioned above, the peel part of peel and stick was agonizing. I kept trying different techniques to get the peel started until I just settled on brute force. Tabs on one of the corners would have earned them 5 stars.

Not reusable
I purchased these to cover some ugly cracked tiles as temporary solution in a rental im living in. This is not my first time using this kind of product. I washed and cleaned the floors and gave adequate time to dry. The plan was to make it look like a 5×5 area rug. I needed 25 of the 30 tiles. I got 4 tiles into the 2nd row when I realized some of the tiles were bigger than the others. In fact almost half the box was. Now I had to rearrange some that I already had down to make it work. This is where I find out these are definitely not reusable. The backing stayed stuck on the floor and the carpet part was tearing apart, see pictures. So now I’m having to scraped the silver glue backing off the tile floors. Returning these. I have some carpet tiles on the landing going from my basement to the backyard from another company and they are reusable so I know how these should have came off. These are thin and definitely not great quality. I guess you get what you pay for

I bought these on a review from another customer that was using them for “cat crafts”. Our cats wanted desperately to be at the window above the door, so we built a perch for them. I used the carpet tiles to cover the wood and they worked great! A little fidely to peel the backing. It’s not the silver part you need to remove, but just a thin clear backing is pulled away. See pic. I just scraped/pulled at the corner will my nail until it finally came apart and I was able to grab the film and remove the backing.
