Made the job easy, and there is enouph for a Huge deck
Worked great for installation of Trek decking. Once we had the first deck piece laid, it worked fast. What worked the best for us was seting the fastener clip in the previous board, using a scrap board with groove to set clip even. Screw down, but don’t tighten until next board is set. Warning, then screw bits can wear out fast, so press down when using screwdriver. We had to go out and buy extra of the T15 star hex, before we where done with the deck.

These fastenes are trash, rusted in less than 2 months
After 2 months all the heads of the screws are rusted and the extra ones were left in the bin they came in and are all rusted. We used over 1000 of these fasteners and the heads on all the fasteners are rusted.The statement in the description on the Amazon website states…”The black-coated screw heads seamlessly blend in, ensuring a sleek and tidy appearance for your deck that will leave everyone impressed.”. Nobody who looks at the fastener on my deck would have that reaction, they would say “What kind of cheap fasteners did you buy, they are all rusted?”.I have attached several pictures showing the fasteners including the spare fasteners that were left in the storage container (It rained the last day we used the fasteners and there was a little water in the bottom of the container I did not see when I closed the bin).The one picture that shows a fastener that is not rusted is a picture of a 3 year old fastener from another manufacturer of decking and fasteners.Horrible Product.

Replacement torx bit is a size 15.
The clips are great, hold strong. The torx bits that come with it are too soft. They didn’t last long. If you are looking to replace them, which you will have to do. The size is a 15 torx bit, not 10.

Great value—just wish the screws didn’t age faster than the deck
These fasteners were super easy to use and worked exactly as expected. Installation was smooth, and honestly, 1,250 pieces is a mountain of hardware. I overestimated by about 10x, so I could probably build a second deck just for practice.That said, the screws started showing rust after the first rain, and I had a few fasteners break during install. A couple of the clips didn’t have screws already attached, so I had to dig through the box like a hardware scavenger hunt. Not a huge deal, but I wish they held up longer before the weather left its mark.Overall, still a great deal for the price, especially if you can forgive a little rust and don’t mind having enough fasteners left over to last a lifetime

Not happy with the screws rusting….
Lots of clips to do a large deck, instillation was easy ,driver bit is junk but planned ahead and had bought extra bits as I always do on big jobs, clips do break easier than thought they should but probably over tightened on my part too.. THE one thing that iam very disappointed in is that the screws are rusting now that rain has set in them, so not sure how long the screws will last before they rust out and they look bad rust….
