Easy to install, strong and durable

600 pcs box came damaged, product was good. 1000 pcs box came NOT damaged.when tighting, you don’t want to tight too much as it might break or screw may strip.not sure how long this will last, will see. I bought 2 cases 1600 clips, worked good for me, will recommend to buy, save you $$$

I have mixed feelings about these clips!
As others have said the screws have not been preinstalled in the clips, which is annoying. Likewise the screw heads also have a tendency to snap off if too much torque is applied.The clips themselves however are very nice and in some and I eel like they hold the decking better than the primary name brand associated with synthetic wood decks.

For screwing into wood
It works very well, the screws it comes with are for screwing into wood, in my case I needed them for metal, so I had to go and buy other screws, but otherwise no problem.

Have not used the official Trex hidden fasteners so I can’t honestly compare but these did as I expected them to so I can’t find fault with them.I do wish the screws were a bit longer. But I think they are similar to official Trex hidden screw lengths.Also be aware not to set your drill to highest Torque. You will drive them right through the fastener.I set mine to a 6/7 and that worked well. Had no issues driving the screws too deep after that. Also had no concerns about stripping the heads by using less torque. Just take it easy and use the right bit and you’ll be fine.They don’t come pre-assembled – not a deal breaker. You have to put a screw in the fastener which actually gave an excuse for a nice break from screwing them in and tightening the boars together (which is another story entirely).Honestly, for the money I can’t find fault with these. I did a 16′ x 14′ deck with about 1/3 of them left over. Easy to use and stupid cheap, and are holding the boards nice and tight.So far so good.

Clips worked well for my purposes. The screws were thinner than I was expecting (and thinner than the previous screws), but they seem to be holding for now. I got about 475 screws into my 490 screw project when I was thinking “I don’t know what the reviewers were talking about, I haven’t snapped a single screw!”. I then proceeded to adjust my drill a little tighter on the clutch and promptly snapped two heads off. Dialed the drill back down and drove the rest without issue.Would definitely recommend driving using a drill with clutch setting, an impact driver would have snapped these like nothing.4 out of 5 stars for the thinner than expected screws and occasional snapped screw, but honestly they did the job. Long term durability to be determined.
