Great produce – reasonable price too!!
I have used tung oil before, but it wasn’t pure and I really had to work to buff it to remove the sticky feeling! This stuff, on the other hand, is golden with no sticky feeling! I chose to purchase this tung oil to seal my wood garden beds. The beds are made of Douglas fir and with the price of wood I need these beds to last!! I used an old t-shirt to apply the tung oil and that worked great! It didn’t eat through my food grade vinyl gloves either. I also sealed the boards in my kitchen because I had room in there to work and because it’s below zero (Fahrenheit) outside. No gross smell or issues. Do note that it is an oil, so protect the surfaces around your project until the oil is fully cured. I basically flood coated 8 boards (4- 2”x8”x8’ – cut to 5’ and 3’ lengths). I used about half the jug. I will be adding more coats before putting the beds together when it warms up outside. I ordered more tung oil for the next set of garden beds I am making, too.

Purchased to help preserve an above ground planter box. Applied easily ans looks like it will do the job. Only time will tell for sure. Made the wood look really nice. Good quality product and water resistant.

Natural Seal
To start, this is real tung oil and does not have a stinky smell. It goes on easily but does require a good rub off to avoid a slightly sticky surface and requires a longer drying time. I’d give it 2-3 days to dry between coats. It seals very well with a slight satin finish. I used it both over stained door trim and a butcher board. Overall, I like the product but do not apply generously since the tongue oil goes a long way.

Using to refinish/restore stocks on antique rifles. Give a nice, subtle luster to the wood without being too shiny. The large size keep me from having to order all the time and this size also has the benefit of costing much less per unit. Will definitely be buying again!

This is pure undiluted tung oil. I was a little concerned that it might have been thinned with a solvent when I ordered it but it wasn’t.
