Works very well, i have two other stud finders that generally worked ok for alot of years but in my new house new to meThey have been really iffy this one so far I have no doubts.

Best Stud Finder I’ve Ever Used.
Stud finder works great! Move first in one direction, then the reverse to find both sides of the stud. The electrical identifier is a nice added feature too. You can even use it to find metal studs.

Useful and versatile, but wood stud detection can be inconsistent
I’ve been using this GOTMEET rechargeable stud finder for typical home projects, and overall it’s a capable and convenient tool with a few limitations worth noting.The device is well built and easy to use. There’s no complicated calibration process—just press and hold to scan. The HD LCD display is clear, and the voice/audio feedback helps confirm detections without constantly watching the screen. The rechargeable battery with USB-C charging is a nice upgrade over disposable batteries and makes it easy to keep ready.Where this unit performs best is metal and AC wire detection. It reliably identifies metal objects and live wires, which is especially useful for safety before drilling. Those modes feel consistent and dependable.Wood stud detection, however, is more hit-or-miss. It does find studs, but in practice it can miss wood studs or lose tracking, especially depending on wall thickness or drywall conditions.
