Fantastic for a hobbyist
I don’t like spending big money on tools, but sometimes it’s just worth the extra cost. This is definitely one of those times.My eyes aren’t perfect anymore, and on my cheap tape measures counting the ticks is getting harder and harder to be accurate. I got this primarily because I wanted something that could give me instant and precise measurements, and that’s exactly what it does. And the clip-on straight edge is so extremely useful that I can’t believe I haven’t wanted this before now.I do love technology but I don’t care about the bluetooth app all that much as a hobbyist at home; but because it exists I did check it out. It works surprisingly well, although firmware updating my tape measure is definitely a surreal moment just because. It went quickly and easily though, so no complaints. I doubt I’ll use it a ton, but labeling a picture with stored measurements does seem like a nice ability for planning purposes.The extra features within the menus are easy enough to understand, and I appreciate that the menu stays at your last choice, making toggling certain features quick. The robust-ness of the actual tape is appreciated for the high price tag: it feels very well made and durable.The actual display is fantastic on my eyes. A backlight isn’t mentioned much, but it’s there and can also be toggled. It’s a great inclusion.Now I love this item, but it’s NOT for everyone. If you have to measure once a year to hang an occasional shelf, this is wasted money for sure. However if you are a hobbyist woodworker and want an accurate and fast measurement, this takes some pain out of your pleasure.

Quality tape measure
The T1M 16 foot Reekon Tape Measure is a great product. All of the functions and the corresponding app will take a while to learn but so far I have found it to be very accurate. I really like the display screen and find it easy to read when taking measurements. The included reference blade for marking accurate square layout lines is a great addition. I find it a good value and the overall functionality is fantastic.

one of those tools that will become more useful as you use it more
Ok so it isn’t a DeWalt but it is black and yellow!A useful tool that reflects the advances in technology we have grown accustomed to in other walks of life. Take a measurement, press a button. This transfers to the app on your phone, take a photo, apply the numbers to the photo and you have a ready made plan. If you are getting a little forgetful, this is invaluable. If you have ever taken measurements, scribbled them down on a scrap of paper and then lost it, this is for you. Bring the numbers back on your phone or on the tape measure. Take them to the store. Convert the units – does that too.Is it expensive – yes. Is it big and clunky – yes. Do you have to charge it – yes (but not so often). I think this is one of those tools that will become more useful as you use it more often until you don’t remember life without it.

Great Tape Measure
I have the T1M and the M1 Caliber. I love both of these tools so much. I purchased the T1M and its nice being able to have everything on the phone because you can connect the tape measure to the app and it stores the measurements instead of having to write them down. It’s a nice tool for the price honestly. I love it.
