Pre-Pitch is a unique, stay in place screeding tool designed for use underneath shower pan liners. Pre-Pitch creates the proper sub floor pitch needed to manipulate water flow towards the weep holes that are an integral part of shower floor drains. By having a pitch under the pan liner, water that passes through the mud bed is now directed to the weep holes instead of being trapped between the mud bed and the liner. This ‘ponding’ or collection of water is where many mold and mildew related issues originate.

SPECIFICATIONS – This Pre-Pitch extended kit is for use in shower areas where the walls are more than 36” (but less than 72”) from the floor drain. Sticks measure 7/8” to 1-5/8” taper x 36” long. Sold 4 per package. Screws and tape included.

They worked great. Used on 4 foot shower . Only thing is I wish they would sell a whole kit for a standard 5 foot shower instead of order regular kit and then add the extension kit

Perfect for the DYI’er
As my title implies, if you are a DYI’er like me, it pays to invest in a set of these sticks before laying a poured shower base. The thin end of the regular sticks tapers to 1/4 inch, which is too thin for mortar so you will also want to buy the extended kit to make it right. So, in my case I bought a regular kit PLUS an extended kit. Putting the two together I could make my cuts and have a proper thickness on both ends.I would give this 5 stars, but the aforementioned adjustment keeps me from doing so. But, the end result is a great benefit to guy like me who is not professional yet knows enough that I hate to pay someone to do what I can do.I recommend reading up a bit and checking the videos on the product Website and you will see what I have described. Needed For Bigger Showers w/ Goof Proof Kit
To be used with the Goof Proof Shower Kit if your shower will be 36″ or more. Great instruction. Lots on UTube plus supplied video with the main kit. Easy to use and very helpful to getting shower pitch correct.
