Very Robust Construction
After getting a free TV for the living room, the garage workshop is getting the old 55″ hand-me-down from the living room. So I got this TV mount for the garage. This is even more heavy duty than the one I had for the living room.I was surprised to find that the wall bracket and pivot bracket were 1/8″ sheet metal. There is no hole to measure from, but from the sound they make when tapped, the rectangular tubes of the articulation arms are probably 14 gauge, which is quite stout for rectangular tubing. The welds are professional and full. The articulation joints are robust and well engineered. I have complete faith with having a very large TV hanging from this mount.The kit comes with a cardboard wall template for locating the mounting holes, and 5/16″ x 2-3/8″ (M8x60) lag screws. It also includes different screw sizes for the various mounting threads that TVs might use. Everything comes preassembled except for the horizontal bars that the TV mounts hand from.

Support très solide pour écran lourd. Installation facile grâce à une notice bien faite.Attention toutefois si vos murs sont en placo : les chevilles vont représenter le point faible de la fixation, d’autant qu’en plus du poids de l’écran, vient s’ajouter le levier créé par le déport. Le constructeur déconseille l’installation sur ce support. Perso, j’ai traversé la cloison avec des tiges filetées, et renforcé derrière avec des plaques en bois. Mais c’est sûr qu’on ne peut pas le faire suivant la pièce qui se trouve derrière l’écran.
