The good, the bad and the rest
Very happy with these lights. It took some finagling to get them installed since we couldn’t get under all the stairs so went with putting them on the side of the stairs instead. We have a few people with sight issues and this definitely makes it safer, especially at night. It’s not enough to cast light across the entire tread being on the side instead of centered. It’s not a huge/bright light, but just enough to cast a glow onto each stair and highlight the edge. Haven’t had any issues with the motion detection aspect on either end. Quite happy with it.Peace

Very clever, ideal for those who have access to ‘underneath’ the stairs.
I have a split set of stairs to the entryway, but have full access below to both sets of stairs in the basement.My stairs happen to be carpeted, but this doesn’t present much of a challenge, other than deciding on a position (in my case the ‘right’ edge, under the noses, is the easiest for me to reach.I also have a power outlet near the stairs down there, too.The kits looks a bit intimidating at first, but it all makes (intuitive) sense pretty quickly.I had no problems wiring or installing them – was a bit of a breeze, actually.Motion AND Day/light sensor? Impressive.And all components – again, on carpeted stairs (might be more complicated,for looks, on a full wooden stair set) – the wires are very small and I can get by with small 1/8 or 1/4″ holes for the wires.I’ve been using battery powered motion sensor lamps on Each Step for quite a few years, and while they work fine, the batteries (that’d be about 16 sets of them!) die at random, so it seems like I’m always replacing batteries (I try to do them all at once, but still…).And since these mostly use 3 or 4 C – cells, the cost does add up.Not to mention they move around, trap dust and spider webs, making vacuuming harder, and can be bumped loose and become trip or ‘fall down the stairs’ hazards’.This is essentially a miracle solution IF your stairs are a good candidate for them.A well thought out and complete kit – only took a few hours to install, too.Well done.

This is a good added enhancement to place on stair steps. I have had these for a while and they still work. I haven’t had any lights go out or issues with the connection. This is definitely a benefit when it comes to safety and energy saving during the night. This is worth the price value.

Review by Mary: This review is for the “Motion-Triggered LED Stair Lighting Kit SSL-0516-B, Dimmable Delay Lights Off Day/Night Function Suit for Indoor Stair Lights (Warm White 3000K, 16 Stairs)”, by RWOFNIA.These lights are for the 2 long steps going from our dining room to our great room. Our dining room is very dark, no natural light, so we decided to install lights on our steps. My husband, with the help of our electrician, will be installing these; power has to be run to our steps, so we need an electrician.
