I liked almost everything about this drain. It is made of a decent thickness stainless steel, is the right length for our downstairs bathroom remodel, and has the reversible drain cap that can either be used as is or tiled inside for a hidden look. the one issue I had with mine specifically might be ab issue with QC. one side of the drain was not a consistent gap going down the full length of the drain, almost like the metal was a bit wavy or got slightly dented either in manufacturing or handling. there was no damage on the box so I beleive the problem is a manufacturing one. It could just be a QC defect that the manufacturer could replace if contacted, but its subtle enough that I beleive I can fix it when installing it into the tile. I only took the star off because I have another drain similar to this one that I ordered and that one has none of the afore mentioned defects. Other than that, the finish is good, theres no nicks, scratches, or other issues with the finish, so this seems like a good drain that I just happened to get one with a defect in. so more likely a Quality control issue with the manufacturer.

Our contractor specifically commented on the quality of the materials and how easy it was to install, which was reassuring.Once installed, it looks fantastic and really elevates the overall bathroom design. The stainless steel finish feels solid, and the dual cover options are a nice touch for customizing the look.For the quality, appearance, and ease of installation, the price is great. Very happy with this purchase and would absolutely recommend it.

Fantastic drain with useless lifting hook for the hair catcher.
The tile market has changed over the last few years and many tiles are now much larger (e.g. 2x4ft). This makes it difficult to cut suitable triangular pieces to direct drainage for a small drain. A long linear drain such as this allows the use of sloping wide rectangular tiles which looks better and is easier to install.My bathroom remodel is not ready for drain installation, but I did a detailed inspection of all the included parts. The big stainless parts look great and very sturdy and sufficient hardware is included for several scenarios (A flange is not included). The instruction sheet seems sufficient and I will let the plumber figure it out.The set is supposed to include a “lifting hook” to remove that hair catcher sieve cup, but what I got instead was useless. The hook I got was laser cut from sheet metal but it apparently got misaligned during cutting, leaving partial cuts and some very sharp spikes (see picture). Not only that, the rounded tip is too wide to even fit into the holes of the hair catcher and thus cannot be used at all! The Amazon page shows a much nicer lifting hook, so hopefully they already improved this.In summary, a well constructed drain with most needed accessories included, but with a completely useless lifting hook.

I am in process of developing a Barrier Free Bathroom soon where i can just walk right into and going to make it nice and big, so this Large Shower Drain is going to be perfect for it. I love the size, it is great for allowing allot of water to be removed from the shower area fast, which is exactly what i want and will need for a large walk in shower.Love the Matte black finish, it looks great but also feels good to the touch, which means it will feel great on my feet when it is fully installed. The coating is very nice as well, it almost resists water sitting on/touching it which is great and will give a nice look to bathroom right after shower is used.The entire top portion is metal and the lower portion is a very nice quality ABS which you can tell just by holding and touching it that it is good quality.Love the large opening and the large screened plate for drainage as it will be very easy to remove if i need to unclog the drain etc.Great product and i could not find one thing wrong with it. This large shower drain was an easy 5 stars! I defiantly would recommend it.

Alright, admit it, nobody gets excited about a shower drain… until your old one is slow and ugly. Swapping it out for this NIREU 6 Inch Square drain was a surprisingly satisfying upgrade! The brushed nickel finish looks sleek and modern, a huge improvement over the standard round drain we had. Made from 304 stainless steel, it feels incredibly solid and well-made, not flimsy at all. The best part? The High Flow Design actually works! Water drains away almost instantly now, no more standing in a lukewarm puddle by the end of your shower. It’s a small change, but it makes the whole bathroom feel cleaner and more luxurious. Who knew a drain could be our unsung bathroom hero?
My Two Cents –
Well made shower drain. It is meant to be installed with a shower pan liner and a dry pack mortar bed. It is as good as Oatey drains. The 6 inch drain looks so much better than the 4 inch round or square drains. It just looks more luxurious, being 6 inch. You wouldnt think from 4 to 6 would make a difference, but it truly does. Installs the same as any other ABS shower pan drain and has the removeable grate for cleaning the hair trap or snaking if you ever get a clog. Oh.. it also has the weep holes for the mud pack to drain. Win Win I hope this helps in your decsion making.
