Nice addition to my fastener inventory
As an avid DIYer / recovering woodworker (from the addiction lol), I am often making something here and there. 4 inches may not be the most common size I reach for, but I wanted to have the option available and in a quantity that could make it through a project. So this set does the trick. I like the extra bit of “swell” of the metal immediately under the head to help lessen the likelihood that you’ll shear your head off when driving these. The only knock I can come up with as of now (since I can’t speak to their longevity anytime soon) is the current price of $25 seems a bit high for 40 of these. I’ve seen other brands of longer 5 inch ones that were a better value. I keep all of my fasteners organized in small parts organizer cases, and you should consider doing so as well.

Heavy duty lags are self tapping for easy install
These are heavy duty, self-tapping lag screws that chew their way through lumber. They have an aggressive tip that allows them to quickly bite into wood and then spiral their way in. It makes it easy to power into wood without the need for predrilling or the risk of splitting. The quality is excellent. The finish is consistent. These are rated structural screws that have excellent physical properties such as high shear strength. Love these things!

BEEFY wood construction screw
These are very heavy wood screws intended for wood construction where you need to fasten two pieces of wood together for a structural joint. In my case I’m adding on to an old oak timber framed barn where modern lumber will be attached to the timber frame. These are #14 size and are therefore the biggest standard wood screw size. At 4″ long they are perfect for fastening standard 2x (1-1/2″) lumber to a post or beam for a high strength joint. I like the fact that they are hex drive over torx or Phillips. The set comes with the 1/4″ hex drive bit and the size is 8mm which is basically 3/8″.My DeWalt 1/4″ impact struggles a little with this size which is understandable. I have yet to have one break. They do have a nice looking coating but I can’t speak to rust resistance and won’t be able to for awhile. Driving into the hard oak the coating comes off a little on the hex but once again this is understandable.Recommended for heavy duty wood joints.

Good heavy duty lag screws
Nice 4” lag screws. Heavy duty and drill into hardwood well. I like using them when working with Oak, walnut, and other hardwoods.

Heavy-duty!
Really nice, heavy-duty 4″ lag screws. These screws are self-driving so no pre-drilling of holes is required. Nevertheless, it must be stated that driving a 4″ screw into wood may not be possible with your cordless drill without pre-drilling the hole. Even with pre-drilling, depending on the wood, it may not be possible to drive this screw with your cordless drill. It may require using a corded 1/2″ drill to drive these lag screws fully into a board. These are “lag” screws and require a socket to drive them. One 8mm socket on a 1/4″ drill shank is included.

Great Quality Hardware Great Price
I have a number of repairs that need to be made on my yard gates where the original construction to secure the wooden parts was w nails… well, time draws out those nails and the gates get a little wobbly. This problem will now be remedied with these long screws! Perfect. The included driver is greatly appreciated. VeryGood!

Exactly what you would expect from a quality product
These are great quality wood screws. You get a good amount for your money and I love that they come with the size socket you need to use them. I hate hunting for the right size to do the job.
