The best Led stair lighting
These led’s lighting system works great! With 2 motion sensors and the lighting of the stairs they work prefect.Easy to install and program. They come with enough wire to run them. They are made very well.My customer loves them. Will definitely order them again. Also their customer service is wonderful.

Easy install beautiful product to add that wo
Easy to install and setup, took about 4 hours total from start to finish. It’s important to have full access to the underside of your stairs to properly wire everything efficiently. I love that I can change the duration of the lights, the brightness and light speed, it’s the best feature of this product!

Do Not Buy
Do not buy unless you have short steps. Lighting that is sent in box is not long enough to cover entire stair. It will have to be placed in center of stair so entire stair will not be lit like advertised in the video.

Not UL certified (but great customer service)
My new home is under construction. My electrical company has done an amazing job with all of their work, but they refused to install these stair lights since they aren’t UL Certified. They had safety, liability, and compliance concerns. The master electrician explained that if they installed non-certified products and something went wrong (e.g., fire or injury), they could be held liable. Refusing to install non-UL Certified lights protects them from legal or insurance repercussions. I’m very sad to have purchased these non-certified stair lights.UPDATE:I got in contact with Komigan customer service. They explained that “The entire kit is not UL certified, only the power supply and cables are.” They were kind and issued a refund for the product. Although I am still sad that it isn’t UL Listed, I am grateful for the great customer service experience.

The best product I bout for my new home!
We just bought our new home and got the idea to light up the stairs then we found this product.I searched and compared everywhere. And Komigan light is the best product that I find. There are two sensors, so when you go up it light up one by one from the bottom to the top. When you go down , it light up from the top. It is beyond beautiful.I am glad I have the most beautiful stair now.It is totally worth it! It make our new home outstanding and every guest are impressed by the stair light.

Pretty awesome kit
Everything was well packaged. Very thorough kit with easy to follow directions. The wiring looks complex but it’s really easy once you lay it out and get started. I went one step further and since I was building the steps from new, I used my wood router and recessed pockets in to the bottom of each tread to hide the lights even more. I was still able to use the double sided tape provided. Programming was very easy also. If I had one critique, it would be that the two motion sensors are too sensitive. It would be nice to program them to be less sensitive. I chose to use tape over the sensor eyes to partially block some of the sensors range.

i was installing these on completely finished stairs, so i had some work cut out for me, after many hours of making holes in the finished drywall under the stairs, i plugged them in and set it up, tested them and they worked exactly like there supposed, they look great, no more with the rechargeable light, happy i got these, there is some tinkering in getting them stationary on already carpeted stairs, but all worked out.

I happened upon this lighting kit and thought why not. Before getting them I didn’t even know this kind of kit existed. These are so cool and I love them. Definitely a conversation starter when guests are over but also very functional. I have these setup on my basement stairs that go down to my home theater area and they are perfect, especially when the room is dark for a movie. The kit comes with everything you need for an installation of up to 20 steps. Included is the main power supply with separate power cord, control module, 20 LED strip lights, 20 extension cables, 2 motion sensors and an array of installation hardware for the modules and the lights. They even include a sheet of wire labels so you can ID the cables and keep things organized, which is key to managing the cascade sequence. The main power supply is a very basic industrial unit, which I suspect gets used in several different applications by the manufacturer. You can choose 120V or 240V supply to suit your source but most residential is the former. The output to the controller is 12 V. It has a terminal strip with plastic cover for making the connections. Mounting of the power supply can be done via screws through the holes in the back plate or by using one of the provided 3M adhesive pads. The control module has ports for 32 connectors but in this kit only 1 through 20 are functional. Again here this unit is probably also used for other kits by the manufacturer. On the face there are three buttons with small LED scales for setting the brightness, cascade speed and the duration of on time when activated. Pushing the button toggles through the range of the scale increasing the setting until it rolls over back to the minimum. This unit can also be attached via screws through the back plate by sliding the 2 end covers off. Or you can use the other 3M adhesive pad. Once powered up all the functioning indicators light up from behind in pale blue and you can see the action as sensors are made and the lights turn on and off.One aspect I don’t like is the rather industrial modular setup of the power supply and controller. While they are not seen once your installation is complete I feel like it would be better if they were all in one pre-made unit. This would make installation a bit easier and less industrial looking. Functionally of course this does not affect anything, just a preference. The LED strip lights are very nicely made. They have an extruded aluminum body and a milky white lens. They are 24” long so will not span the entire step width for most stairs which are typically around 36”. However, they fill enough of the step that they still look pretty good. The electrical connection is a short pig tail with a keyed connector that mates with the provided 6m (20ft) extension cable. Included with each LED strip is a pair of metal clips and also three 3M adhesive pads. Depending on you application and installation preference you can use either. I chose to use the clips and I will say that installing them is a bit difficult. Since you are installing them under the lip of each step getting power tools in is not feasible. Even normal screwdrivers are too long. So you have to install them by hand using a stubby screwdriver. This is no fault of the product of course, just the nature of the installation. The lights are quite bright and are a very cool white. The 6000k colour index I believe is pretty accurate. The motion sensors are very nice looking with a silver bezel and milky white lens. You have the option of mounting these into a hole in your top and bottom step or using the provided brackets. I chose the latter to create a cross beam for detection as you step across the stair. Like the lights these have a small pig tail connector that attaches to the longer cables that go back to the controller.Functionally this system is great. Once installed and connected the system works flawlessly. I really like the look of the finished product and it adds another level of function and safety for the stairs going to my basement. I do feel the kit is kind of pricey but since it is a very unique kit and it works so well I can forgive that. Overall a great product that I never knew I needed.

I was really excited by these lights, much like having a hallway that lights up in sections as I pass through it like in science fiction movies having a stairway light up when I start climbing it is a nerd dream come true. I planned everything out, I thought… focusing mainly on what I would need to do to get power to it, and where to hide the power supply and controller (which in my case, I needed to plan a wiring route through some finished walls and a spot for the equipment in the area my breaker box is housed in). But I was hit with something I never considered… that the actual LED bars themselves, as relatively slim as they are, are wider than the nosing on my stairs so no matter which way I tried to place them they stuck out and looked ugly. The specification for the width of the bars is on the product page, don’t be me and make assumptions.I did get a chance to just wire it all up independent of a permanent install off of the stairs and was impressed by the kit though. The actual wiring is not difficult or confusing, everything is labeled clearly and wiring everything together is all intuitive to the point where instructions aren’t needed. The light quality is nice, evenly diffused without looking like a bunch of individual points of light like cheap LED strips look, and the cascade effect is done well and the motion sensors seem to work as expected. Would be nice at this price point for the system to have even just a little bit of “smarts” built in like a light sensor that you could customize a maximum light level before activation as well as scheduling or even some advanced effects/animations. You can solve at least the scheduling part by putting a smart switch in the loop and not “hard” wiring the power supply. It seems pricey but the quality is there and having some experience with residential lighting in general I imagine that a custom system like this would cost WAY more than what they’re asking. If they could slim down the LEDs more so they fit more installations as well as to make them less noticeable in general, add a bit more features wise, it would be perfect. I’m trying to think of some kind of non-stairs use for these now.
