Beautiful under step lighting to elevate stairs, but requires opening walls/treads to hide
This under step LED lighting kit can really elevate the look of your stairs, but keep in mind that if you are adding them to existing stairs that you will likely have to remove trim and/or drill into open walls to hide and route all the cabling. Luckily, I am in the process of renovating an old farm/school-style home to be more modern, and the stairs do require some new treads and trim which allows me to drill in underneath trim areas and hide the holes under new trim. I have not fully completed the project but tested the lights out under some of the steps for effect. Once they are in place, they really give the stairs a modern floating feel. The ability to have them reactive will be really neat once fully laid out. Overall, expensive but neat upgrade to stairs. Just be prepared to open up your walls to do it.

Easy to use and customizable stair lighting kit
I really like this LED stair lighting kit, it comes with everything you need to get setup. The lights are bright and give a modern look to the stairs. You can customize how many steps light up, adjust brightness, speed, and delay, and even keep the lights on all the time if you want. The LED strip has strong adhesive and can be cut to fit your stairs perfectly. The product page has lots of helpful “how to install” and “how to set up” videos that make installation easier. I haven’t installed it yet because I’m still deciding which stair treads and style to use, and I need to figure out how to run the wiring under the stairs. I’m excited to get it done and will upload pictures once it’s installed.

Awesome but feels kinda cheap
Very cool product it looks fantastic you can adjust the brightness as well as the time that each one is on installation is definitely a pain in the ass there is a ton of wiring and you got to make it just right you have to cut them to length there’s a lot of stuff you have to do to get these installed and working correctly but once they are installed they look and operate beautifully the only downside I would say they come with a switch that is absolute crap I would not recommend using that switch instead I would wire it into or use a smart outlet that will allow you to actually turn the unit on and off depending on things like if your home etc this device is not a smart device and I wish I absolutely wish this thing was because it seems like it could do a lot more potentially

WOW! totally blown away by this kit. The price seems a little steep but once installed, you won’t question it. It gives such an elevated look. I love how bright it is and the way they look at night – out stairs are black for reference so it gives this really great contrast to them. Pretty easy to install because the instructions are very detailed and easy to follow. They are high quality and work great under our stairs (which are a standard set of stairs I should add, wood, no runner or anything)

Nice product , but challenging install
This is more for a new stairs or a a full remodel of the stairs and not just quite an add on due to the extensive wiring, as you MUST have reasonable access to the underneath side of the steps for routing wires as well as the side walls.It comes with good instructions thank God!, But it will still take some serious planning. We love the sequential lightning motion sensors sensor that turns the lights. It will give your stairs a new modern look . The kit is very complete , just plan your install. If you have an older house with carpet on the stairs, buying this kit will give you to A) remodel your stairs, and get a modern look B} remove the old carpet, then install the kit and associated wiring, then C) install the new carpet in a way that int will allow the lights to be installed.
