A must-have when installing grooved deck boards
This is a must-have if you’re installing grooved decking boards. The fasteners snap into the tool, so the fastener is held in place when you push the tool against the board, and the funnel feature virtually prevents damage to the boards if the torx bit in your power screwdriver/drill slips.

I don’t know why anyone would complain about this tool. it worked great! I’d recommend it. It helped a lot with keeping the planks tight and consistent, and saved my fingers a lot of pain.

Great concept and definitely helped, but one of the plastic “arms” that holds the fastener broke within 50 screws

Good tool for the money
Good solid tool makes the install of hidden fasteners very quick and simple. Just be careful not to overtighten the screw as the tool will get squeezed by the fastener and become impossible to detach. This is why the tool breaks – people try to rip it off after overtightning. You can always give the screw one last half turn after the tool has been detached.

Not a durable product
This is a one use item. I purchased this for installing a small deck. The device worked well but pieces broke off during the deck installation. By the time the decking was done the installation tool was trash. It was great and helped with the deck installation initially. As pieces broke off it becameuseless. Not recommended for a medium to large project.
