For new or retrofit installations, this Corner Shower Seat is a heavy-duty, stay-in-place molded plastic form that is easily installed and can be tiled the same day. The Shower Seat is a standard 30 in. wide and has guide marks on the top surface to make it easy to trim the seat to 24 in. wide. The front face has a 3/16 in. wide tile support ledge for easier tile alignment and full tile support. Two level vials are supplied to indicate the proper minimum water drainage slope of 1/4 in. per 12 in. run. The seat offers a 400 lb. capacity and includes screws, anchors, shims (to adjust for out of square walls, if necessary) and illustrated installation instructions.

Quick and easy.
Simple and easy to install. Level vials are built in and account automatically for the drainage slope. Best to insert blocking behind your wallboard at the seat location. I recommend installing the wallboard, then do waterproofing, then install the seat with heavy beads of sealant where it contacts the wallboard. Apply an additional bead at the top before tiling. Very strong seat !

Buy 2 packs so you have enough…
The package should come with 8 sticks instead of 6, so you can lay them in the 4 cardinal directions plus the 4 places between. But, I suppose they take the new sock and underwear package approach.. 7 days in a week but socks and underwear come in pairs 4 or 6 so you have to buy 2 packs if you want a fresh pair everyday if the week.. (if you wash clothes only 1 day a week that is, but you get the picture hopefully.)

Could be made better
The seat is a good idea. However it could be better. The underside of the seat is open kinda like a honey comb. Some might ask what’s the big deal, no one looks under it. SPIDERS DO! Seal the bottom up and you’d have a real winner
