Be prepared for extra work.
The item is made incorrectly. It is supplied with a connector pipe that uses a straight pipe thread. There is no provision for an oring, so the pipe will not seal. I tried various types and amounts of thread sealing material but it leaked and blistered the paint on my wall. I removed the valve and used a 1/2 x 1/2 npt brass nipple to complete the job. You will have to determine the length of the nipple based on your wall thickness. Our wall was 1/2 ” inch sheetrock plus a 3/4 plywood support placed inside the wall. We used a 2-1/2 inch nipple. 2nd, I don’t think the prescribed method of mounting ( into sheetrock only) would last very long.

Thankfully, hubby #2 loves to cook, and this pot filler is definitely going to get its fair share of use. This one? Solidly built—and I’ll be honest, at this price point, I wasn’t expecting that. My first one cost hundreds more. No wobble, no loose movements when extended. Plus, it’s got a sleek brushed nickel finish that plays nicely with our stainless range and other appliances. Clean, simple design that works with any style, whether you’re all about contemporary, transitional, or traditional decor.So, if you’re considering a pot filler—whether you’re after that wow factor or just want something seriously functional (because let me tell you, that was my happy surprise—it’s not just all show, it’s got the go!)—this one’s a winner.

We selected this to replace a 20 year old pot filler from a standard builder brand. That one had a single valve, which is a constant nuisance. Why? Because with 1 valve at the base, when you turn it off, there is still water in the pipe above the valve. If you shake it, the water will slowly drain out. If you forget to do this, the water will spill all over your stove at a random time in the next 2-12 hours. We loved the idea of a pot filler, but the one that came with this house was a bit let down.Enter this new model. The install was very easy. We had to redo some of the fittings due to some leaking, but with some of our own plumbers tape, that was sorted out with no problems. It fit to our existing brass pipe (identical to the one provided). We had some issues with tightening things up the second time around. The closed position of the valve connected to the wall wasn’t horizontal. It seemed like the valve was slipping around in the housing. But we finally sorted that our and it has been steady and working great since then.With the second valve, we never have unexpected messes or extra dripping from the pot filler. It provides a nicely aerated stream of water that does not splash or splatter all over (our old one was not aerated). The stainless steel has a brushed nickel look and looks pristine three weeks after the installation. My wife is very happy with both the modern look of it and the improved functionality.I’m impressed with the packaging, the quality materials, and the attention to detail with providing an extra valve. This was a top notch experience and I highly recommend this over many pot fillers that I have seen that are 2 or 3 times the price. Having 3 colors to choose from is the cherry on top.
