Allowed me to work solo – well worth the money!
Once I figured out how to use (Only took about 5 minutes), was easy to use and allowed me to straighten my deck boards and repair the deck by myself. Paid for itself in its first use! Highly recommend if working solo

Not great for my Trex
Didn’t work for me. Perhaps my Trex boards were too skinny for it or user error. I bought cheaper metal clamps which attached to the joist and then could crank to push the boards which worked great.

A good tool
This is a good tool for deck boards installation. It’s easy to operate and seems to be heavy duty. The design principle is simple, the tool grabs the joist and the force arm has a disk with changing diameters, when you rotate the arm, it will force the board to move in directions you desire. You fasten down the section of boards with fasteners first where no bending is needed, then use this tool to force the deck boards to behave where you want them and put in additional fasteners. While it works as expected, I feel it’s over priced, therefore, I take one star off.

Great third hand!
This heavy duty deck board straightening tool by Mysemhoe is a no-nonsense third hand. It’s well built and quickly and easily does the job. I typically use a couple of crowbars to help me strighten a board while fastening it down. This takes considerable finagling and contorting, sometimes needing my knee at the same time. This tool takes all of that out of the process, now making it a smooth and easy job. I would prefer a better padded handle, but even with that, this tool is well worth having. It’s okay, but has some minor issues
I received this tool yesteday and tested it a bit. Setup was relatively straightforward. It did help align the boards somewhat, but not perfectly. The build quality seems okay but feels like it could be better for the price. The handle grip isn’t bad, though the adjustement feature feels slightly loose. It’s neither great nor terrible—just acceptable for occasional home use.

Game changer!
We do a lot of work with repurposed decking and reused materials in general. As the 1 man building crew I have had to use many many tricks to get things the way I would like them. This has been so helpful for getting the best use out of the seconds or second hand deck boards! I wish the handle was better but I used some hockey tape to make the handle more comfortable. Other than the handle it really is made well and is such a helpful design! Does the job of a helper and saves me from getting into some rediculous positions to force boards to where I want them! Very happy with it!

A Solid Upgrade
As someone who frequently works with decking, I was excited to try this heavy-duty deck board straightener through the Vine program. Let’s face it, when buying decking in bulk, you’re always going to find a few boards that are warped beyond belief. I’ve been using the older Stanley Board Bender style for years, and while they’ve served me well, this straightener is a significant improvement.While marketed for 2x4s, I found it worked perfectly fine with my 5/8-inch decking. The key improvement is the locking mechanism. No more struggling to hold the tool in place while trying to screw the board down! This feature alone saves a ton of time and frustration. For truly warped boards, I’d even recommend buying two of these – it would make the straightening process even easier and more efficient.The tool itself feels robust and well-made. With proper care and use, I expect it to last a lifetime.Minor Gripe: My only real complaint is the handle. A thicker handle would provide a more comfortable and secure grip, especially when dealing with particularly stubborn boards.Overall:This deck board straightener is a solid and worthwhile addition to any deck builder’s toolkit. The locking mechanism is a game-changer, and the overall construction is impressive. Despite the minor handle issue, I’m giving it a well-deserved 4 out of 5 stars. Highly recommended!

Like and extra pair of hands and a foot
This really helped me put this deck on by myself. Pushes the boards into the clips really nice. It’s probably a one time tool for the average person but really is a help. It’s built pretty strong and fit the deck joists just fine. I didn’t have any slipping issues to deal with. It held the boards fine until I released them. Easy to use too once you get it set up. Makes it quick to throw a few boards down, clamp and drive the screws. Makes installing a deck like mass production
