FNIRSI Stud Finder Keep Drilling Out of Danger

After the detector is turned on, it will enter the “metal detection” mode by default. At this time, if there is no metal interference, there is a signal on the display.Indicates that calibration is required.Calibration method: place the detector in an environment free of metal and strong magnetic field interference (eg: lift the detector into the air, etc.). Press and hold the “Metal/Cable Detection” button again.Until the signal display returns to zero and the green light turns on.Release the button at this point, the calibration is complete. When detecting metal objects.Press the metal detection button to enter the detection metal state. At this time, the pattern of metal detection will appear on the display, and the green indicator will light up.Place the detector on the object surface and move the instrument left or right towards the same horizontal direction. When the instrument gets closer to the metal object, the scale on the signal strength display area of the display will gradually increase. At the same time, the intensity percentage will gradually increase. When the instrument is slowly moving away from the object, the scale on the signal strength display area of the display will gradually decrease. At the same time, the intensity percentage will gradually decrease. When the program determines that the signal received by the instrument reaches the maximum.Indicates that the metal object is just below the center of the detector. The center icon (Center) appears on the display. The yellow or red indicator light of the detector will light up when metal material is detected. When the metal substance and AC signal are detected at the same time, the red indicator light of the detector will flash. And the detector will beep continuously. When the detector displays a non-magnetic metal symbol, it means that the current measured object is generally a wire or copper pipe. When the detector displays a magnetic metal symbol, it means that the currently measured object is generally a steel bar. When the detector does not display magnetic or non-magnetic metal symbols, it means that the currently measured object is generally an alloy. When the AC symbol on the instrument flashes, it means there is an AC signal nearby A Detection Note. When detecting metal, the displayed depth of detection value on the display is synchronized with the detection operation. The accuracy of the depth value is related to the shape and material of the measured metal, the distribution of the measured object relative to the detector, and the properties of the surrounding medium of the measured object, etc.
Why choose FNIRSI stud finder wall scanner

HPC Interference Chip
Reduce falsepositives and detect depth more accurately.

Position Marker Hole
Unique positioning hole design for easy marking

Rechargeable Mode
Built-in rechargeable lithium battery-300mAh

Stud Scan Detection Detects foreign objects behind plasterboard walls, bare wood floors, plywood, coated wood walls, includingwood rails, light steel joists, nails, conduits.Exact scan mode: 0.75inch/19mmDepth scan mode: 1.5inch/38mm

Wire Warning Detection Detects live cables under walls(Non-live cables may be detected by metal objects)AC Wire(2inch/50mm)Non-live cables wire(1.57inch/40mm)

Metal Scan Detection Magnetic: Steel bars,Iron, Etc (4.7inch/120mm)Non-magnetic metals: Wires, Copper pipes, Etc (4inch/100mm)

Scan the wall
After finishing calibration, Place the whole device against the wall, Then move the stud finder along the wall slowly.

Find the studs
The narrow on the screen together with the beep signal alter, guides you to find the location of the stud. But note that if shake or lift the scanner accidentally, the device needs to be re-calibrated.

Located the stud
When the signal bar is full and the beep alarm is loudest, it means you have found the center of an object. Mark it with your pencil.

This little device is something else!
I just learned of FNIRSI a couple weeks ago from an ad for a cordless soldering iron. While browsing their site, I saw that they made a number of devices, including this stud finder. Not that my old ones don’t work per se, but they’re strange about batteries, and a little finicky especially on studs that aren’t directly behind the drywall, (such as framing in the garage that has a layer of foam insulation between the drywall and framing.) I’ve tested this in a number of different scenarios and it’s been dead on every single time, at about a third of the cost of my “high end” finder. I’m anxious to try some of their other offerings as they’re all affordably priced. This even came with a case which none of my others included!

Stud finder works well
Works as advertised. Can find studs fairly reliably. I used it to find studs to mount holders for my bikes. I used it on my ceiling to find a decent spot to put a hook in to hang a plant from. It indicated it found a solid spot, but after putting in the hook, I found just dry wall. Still, easy to use and like the rechargeable battery.

It finds rebar.
I used this to find rebar on a pool demo. My heavy backhoe-mounted hammer has trouble with hard reinforced concrete. (Its old, and dad must have used 5-sack+) I started using cut-off saws, but it took awhile to figure out the right blades, and the horizontal and vertical cuts in walls are tough with heavy saws. We were kicking around ideas after dropping the first wall. “Rebar sensor”. So I looked around and found this, at 1/2 price of the Bosch. I know the rebar pattern from the first wall and was looking for it on the second. I have hit rebar with a concrete drill bit on every rebar it located. (I wanted to find them with a cheap bit that would stop) I have a total 90′ perimeter with 68′ left. Rebar cutter sds+ drill bits are coming, a 6″ rebar/concrete bit is only $12. Only using a little water (a must with saws unless you don’t care) basic titanium some carbide? bits have done about 25 4″ max with little wear. They go right through concrete @ 5/8 & 3/4. My bit cost looks a lot lower than my blade cost. I have a 12T jack to knock the wall over, I used the loader/backhoe to knock over the first. We will see if this tester found enough rebar to push wall 2 over. I put in extras hole between the #3 rebar @14 and never hit rebar. I’m optimistic at this point, a good low-price tester looks to have made a hard a lot easier. I have #3 at 2.5 up to 4″ inches deep to the outside edge. About accuracy, 1 cm = 0.39″, 12 cm =4.65″. On the cut wall I tried to determine the depth accuraccy, It measured nearly 4″ on a 2.5″ to edge 3bar. Could be my math but it didn’t look right. I’m confident it will find rebar at least 4.25″ inches.

Waste of money
Even after calibrating, it still didn’t work right and couldn’t accurately locate the studs. We had better success just using a magnet.

excelente, finciona muy bien

Works really well. I tried a cheaper detector but it was very hit and miss finding the wooden batons in the stud wall.

not a SaM product

Been using it for a while now and though it does fund the studs, it also shows electrical sign though there was no electric wires behind the wall which made me alot doubtful while working on walls with electrical wirings so not recommend it.
