Near the gap, the lever handle moves forward in one motion, and the plank edge shifts closer without needing repeated adjustments. The felted face meets the floor with a light tap from the mallet, only to settle the edge after the pull, and the seam closes without lifting or twisting the board. One of the clear pads sits under the tool, keeping it steady when force goes through the handle on a textured surface. Knees rest briefly on the pad, weight stopping any slide while lining things up again. Along the seam, another motion pulls the air out, resistance holding until the handle is released and the board stays where it lands. A short squeak shows up if the cup lifts too fast, making a slower release easier to control. Dust marks appear on the rim and wipe away with a sleeve.

Works like a champ. I have to put some pressure on it. Doesn’t quite suction to the floor tight enough but it’s much easier than the DYI ideas online. Shipped and delivered fast.
