Great for cleaning large reptile enclosures!!
I can’t stop raving about this shop vac ever since it arrived. Everything about it is SO NIFTY. You can fit all of the attachments and spare bags in this little carrier in the back, and wheels pop on for easier maneuvering.I bought it because I have a monitor lizard in a large enclosure and I need to change the substrate once a month. My $900 Dyson Airblade choked and had to be repeatedly shaken to function again after it sucked up maybe a cubic inch of this mix of coconut fiber and orchid bark, so I got a hand vac that worked fine for suction, but had to be constantly emptied and I kept murdering my back trying to maneuver it in there while my lizard grew cold and impatient. When all the vacuums fail, I have to manually scoop all that substrate out. Which sucks, and not in the good effective way.Now I’m wondering where the Dewalt shop vac was my whole life!No more backaches! No more manually scooping gross substrate with a coffee scoop and still not quite getting all of it! No more constantly emptying a tiny reservoir not designed to suck up wood chips, dead bugs, and clods of lizard poop! It sucks like it’s trying to grab my attention on Redtube!It got the job done in barely 10 minutes. I just used the hose and one of the hard extensions, no nozzle attachment, and it grabbed everything in its path so I could lay down nice clean substrate. 9 gallons is the perfect size for 1-2 rock and water monitor enclosures without having to change the bag too often, if Dewalt makes larger capacities I’d recommend those if you’re a reptile breeder or keep far more reptiles than I do.My only complaint is that since it’s corded, it doesn’t go very far even with an extension cord. Maneuvering is a little awkward as a result. But that is some AMAZING suction, I even started using it with the wide floor-brush attachment as a regular vacuum! Sucks up so much dust, I won’t have allergy symptoms for months!VERY good value for the money given how much I was gouged on that Dyson and it was only a little over twice what I paid for the hand vac.

Easy to handle and move around the house.
It’s being 2 years since i got it and works perfectly fine, no regrets at all. I was working taking down some drywall from and old living room and it did its job with no problem.

Strong, great build quality and pretty quiet
I bought this to replace a smaller shopvac without wheels. I just use it around the house for odd projects. The size is perfect for me. I’ve only used it a couple of times (both times for dry pickup); worked great. I was pleased that this larger unit is a bit quieter than my old one; a nice surprise. It rolls around very well and the tool storage bag is great. I think I’m gonna wish it had a longer power cord; probably gonna have to use an extension to get around my whole garage. Overall build quality seems very good. I’m very glad I bought this model with the upgraded suction hose; seems very sturdy and worth a few extra $.

Great shop vac
I have had this shop vac for a little over a year now. It’s time to write a review. This is one of the best shop vacs I have had so far. I use it in the garage a lot for cleaning up saw dust for all the woodworking projects I do.The suction is fantastic.The blower is great.The wheels roll very smoothly.The parts bag works good.The amount of accessories that come with it are good.It is louder than some others.I do recommend getting filter bags because the filter does clog easily, which then blows the onboard breaker. The breaker will reset on its own after some time of sitting. The bag helps prevent this.

Great so far except for the wet use filter.
Works great so far except the filter mesh for wet vac use split after first use when sliding off to clean it.Pros: Well designed, click lock and easy release hose connector, rugged but flexible hose, plenty of attachments and the attachable convenient storage pouch with metal frame is much appreciated.Cons: I don’t recall any of my previous shop vac wet use screen filters having a noticeable (or any?) seam. This came with a poorly glued seam that came apart after one use when removing to wash with a hose (see pic). I hot glued and stapled it back together for now but need to contact support for a replacement.

We had a flood on new year’s eve of all days….we only had a smaller vaccum at the time. shortly after we ordered one of these. We used this a lot early on to suck all of the water out. Although we have fixed the issue that lead to the flood this device has done it’s job….and I hope the only time i ever use it for is anything but water going forward! This was able to suction a good amount of water which was highly helpful.

It is not the quiet one it has the yellow not black hose but it’s what I wanted 17/8 solid resist crushing. Not using the bag that comes with bought 3 better one for about 20. It is still prety quiet.It does what it has to do. Effective solide accessories. I do have a 16gall but this 9 is better to me.The bag is so convenirntly easily detachable when you need to empty it. I persinaly use a bag better dust filtration. The wet filter comes with it.No clue why they are not clear on the pictures in here.Note that if you buy the quiet one stealth Sonic you won’t have the blower option.

We bought it to clean out our guinea pig cage (full of hay, wood pellets, etc). It does that just fine. We also used it to clean air ducts in the house. The long hose was handy there.It’s light weight so easy to move around or lift if needed.You have to try hard to clog this thing. Well worth the purchase.
