Works great, love having everything in one bag
Battery life is excellent but it’s also very nice having a backup charged and ready to go. The charger came with so everything I need is all there. Not too heavy for me to use one handed, but heavy enough I know I bought quality. Compatible with my drill bits, hole saws, and screwdriver bit sets. Fairly quiet. Compact and good quality.

Fantastic Drill/Driver with Plenty of Power and Great Battery Life
This is pound for pound the best drill/driver I have ever owned. It is hard to go wrong with Dewalt tools and this is no exception. There are so many things I like about it I am going to make a pros/cons list.PROS:- Lightweight. It is fairly small and much lighter than all of my previous cordless drills I have ever owned. The Li-ION battery is much lighter than my previous Ni-CAD batteries.- Even though it is lightweight, it has A LOT of torque and power.- The battery life is great. This set also comes with two batteries making it easy to switch out and essentially ensuring you always have battery to finish the job. The batteries also seem to hold a charge very well when they are just sitting around, not in use, which is nice that when I need the drill, I don’t have to wait an hour for a battery to charge. I just plug it in and off we go. See note below about handling of batteries.- Along the same lines, charging time is low. Around an hour for a full charge in my case.- The carrying case wasn’t a selling point for me, but it is a nice way to store the set.- This is the first cordless drill I have used that has a light and I didn’t realize what I was missing out on until now. I also like that it will stay on about 10 seconds after I release the button, which is especially nice when I want to see if I set the screw correctly in low light.- The 20V is a nice addition and adds more oomph than I expected as I have always used 18V batteries in the past.- Cost. I only paid $99 for it when it was on sale, which is quite a deal ($30 off of Amazon, Home Depot, and Lowes current price).- Build. It feels solid and strong, not made up of cheap plastic parts.Cons:- Definitely not a contractor level drill, which is no bother to me because I only use it for around the house projects. Not necessarily a con, but should be noted.- The chuck. How it works is that you insert the bit, turn the chuck until it clicks and the bit is supposed to be locked in. For whatever reason (and maybe I got a lemon), my chuck doesn’t seem to hold bits very well. They often come loose when I am backing them out. I have tried backing out in both “forward” and “reverse” and had the same results either way. There is no way to tighten the chuck any tighter because it just clicks, telling you the bit is “locked-in.” This could be user error, but I don’t think so. It is also made of plastic, one area they probably cut corners to save on cost.Side note: As soon as your battery starts to die, do not try to stretch it out. Running the battery down to nothing diminishes the life of the battery. Your batteries should also be stored near room temperature but never below 60 degrees F or above 80 degrees F, especially when charging. While buying new batteries is possible, why do that when you can just take good care of the ones you have? Especially when they are so expensive.Overall, I couldn’t be happier with this drill. It is a definite upgrade and if you can wait to snag it at the $99 price tag, it is a definite must for any home DIY’er.

Great quality drill set
This is a great drill set for around the house. The drill itself is high quality, durable, easy to use and has a built in flashlight which is really nice. The set comes with two durable batteries, each of which are still going strong 3+ years later. The battery life seems pretty good as well. The bag is compact but the drill, two batteries and battery charger all fit perfectly. Would recommend for any household needing a basic drill set.

Excellent all around drill.
This drill is very comfortable in my hand and has a super grip. It’s powerful, light weight, and is perfect around home. The clutch is easy to use and the multiple settings work perfectly depending on the hardness of the drilled material and bit being used. Reversing is very easy and can be done with one hand. All around, this drill may be unbeatable. For the money I’ll give it 5 stars.

“OLD SPARKY”–BUT IT GETS THE JOB DONE!
AMAZON can sell you a plethora of similar products, but I must admit–the DEWALT Name and Reputation cinched the deal for me. Now that it has arrives, I’m having second thoughts. This $99 DEWALT DRILL has THE RIGHT STUFF to be sure. But it leaves one wondering, “Is this a REAL DEWALT tool?” You get what you pay for, and for a DEWALT, this device is remarkably affordable. Still, I had to consider the following: This 20V power tool comes with (2) 20v batteries and a charger. As things would have it, I have no need for the batteries/charger–since these are identical to BLACK AND DECKER’S 20V power source, of which I have dozens, thanks to previous B&D purchases.Which causes one to wonder, “AM I PAYING MORE FOR THE BATTERIES/CHARGER–than I am for the basic Drill? Such ponderings’ are fueled by AMAZON’S dazzling assortment of similar drills sold for $60 or less. Decisions, Decisions! This DEWALT is built in MEXICO, and for some reason–I consider that a ‘Step-up” from Chinese merchandise. BUT WAIT!For about $60 Bucks, AMAZON sells comparable (albeit no-name) brands that offer a “Brushless Motor”. Forget that Mr. Tesla invented the Brushless Motor…it’s all about, “WHERE’ THE BEEF?” Now here’s where ‘Seeing is Believing’. Out of the box, try revving up this $99 DEWALT! Ah, the light show of sparks and the smell of crackling ozone. Let’s face it, ‘Brushless’ electric motors are superior. SO, let’s size all this up: This inexpensive DEWALT DRILL will get the job done. Certainly, if you are not already invested in wireless 20V LITHIUM ION tools, this twin-battery set is the way to go. If not, you might have some doubts. ADD TO THIS the fact that this DEWALT SYSTEM is not particularly LIGHT, there are other’s to consider.BOTTOM LINE: I’m too busy these days to return this PERFECTLY ACCEPTABLE $99 tool which includes a lightweight DEWALT bag, batteries and charger. FINAL THOUGHT: If you have an immediate need for a good “SEMI-PRO” tool, YOU CAN’T GO WRONG with this DEWALT.

I’m super happy with this drill set. The drill itself is of exceptional quality. It’s easy to hold and comfortable in your hands. It works perfectly too. I like that it comes with two batteries so you don’t have to worry about having a dead battery. The carrying case is high quality too. I know this drill will last long as well as any other product from this company makes. It’s easy to see that when you spend a little more you get a better product. I highly recommend it.

After an unsatisfactory experience with a black & orange drill that was underpowered and felt like a toy, I decided to spring for one of these Dewalt numbers in the hopes that it would do a better job. I’m delighted to report that it is easily powered enough to do my projects: making some bookshelves, putting a gate on the porch etc. It feels really sturdy and like a ‘real tool’ without being annoyingly heavy. It is simple enough to use and I love that there are two batteries. We had to swap batteries around 3 hours into the gate project. Even the little bag feels like a good quality canvas workbag, not a crap cheap grocery bag which is what I was fearing. All in all, highly recommended. I may have to get my dad one after how impressed he was 😀
