The best shop vac I have ever owned
The DeWalt StealthSonic shop vacuum has completely changed my expectations for what a shop vac can be. I bought it looking for something with strong suction but without the ear-splitting noise—and it absolutely delivers on both fronts.First off, the noise level is impressively low. For a shop vac, it’s shockingly quiet. You can actually carry on a conversation while it’s running, which is a game changer in a garage or workshop setting. It’s not silent, of course, but the noise reduction DeWalt built into this model is very real and very effective. Despite the quiet operation, it doesn’t sacrifice power. The suction is strong and consistent, easily handling sawdust, wood chips, screws, and other debris without clogging. I’ve used it for both woodworking cleanup and car detailing, and it performs great in both situations. Build quality is what you’d expect from DeWalt: solid, rugged, and reliable. The hose and attachments feel durable, and the vac maneuvers easily on its wheels. Setup and filter changes are quick and hassle-free.

Good overall with some considerations
I bought this vacuum for the main point of having a shop vac that is quieter than the others. I am no longer doing a crazy amount of contract work so having something that doesn’t blow my eardrums out every time I fire it up is nice for work around the house.The unit I purchased came with a full accoutrement of filters, filter bags, and accessories. The vacuum assembles in less than 3 minutes and is ready to go so that was nice. The noise it produces is very low when not stuck on something and is probably quieter than my normal Shark house vac. I like the stainless steel drum and it connected up to the similarly constructed dust separator seamlessly and they work very well together.My only complaints about the unit are the hoses and suction. With the reduction of noise, there is a definite trade off for suction power. I would put it between a house vac and a shop vac in terms of power but it will do what you need it to if you’re not cleaning up lots of large messes. The other thing that is an annoyance for me is the provided hose. While most shop vacs provide a 10’ hose, this one sports a noticeably shorter 7’. The shorter hose paired with what seems to be a shorter than usual power cord will probably leave some folks limited on thier cleaning territory unless seeking the next outlet to plug into.All in all this is probably a good fit for most folks but if you are looking for a lot of cleaning ability and power, this may not be the unit for you.

Caster wheels work great. Well constructed. Easy to use wet or dry. Super quiet. I would recommend to a friend.

Very nice and quiet Shop Vac
I’m really enjoying this shop vac, I’ve grown very tired of the loud noises of some shop vacs, this one is very quiet and does a great job cleaning. Price point was higher than I liked, but having purchased it, it’s totally worth the cost.The hose is stiffer than I like, and the end of the hose needs a swivel so the attachments will rotate as you move around the shop or car cleaning. This is the only reason I don’t give it a 5 star rating.
