Reliable Dehumidifier
Replacement for existing product which is twelve years old. Great dehumidifier.

Works well as a dehumidifier but lasted only 4 years.
Most of my previous basement dehumidifier’s have lasted 2 to 4 years. I also own a 30 pint version of this brand that has been working for 6 plus years, so I decided to give this brand a try for my second dehumidifier in a separate part of the basement. Although it works well as a dehumidifier the pump stoped working soon after purchase but beyond the 30 day return period. After 4 years, it has completely stoped working. I would not recommend this version (I would recommend the smaller sized unit).

Great dehumidifier, but somewhat loud.
This De’Longhi 50 Pint Dehumidifier with Pump works like it’s supposed to.It has an intuitive, easy to adjust control panel and definitely takes the humidity out of the air. You can use the collection tank, the free flow hose, or turn on the pump. The tank pulls out easily and is also easy to dump the water out. It has a nice looking design and has two air speeds. Both air speeds are loud and in the 55-68 decibel range. Also included is a carbon filter that can be installed in the screen in the front of the unit. It is easily accessible when the collection bin is removed. The included instructions are simple to follow and reference. It is heavy but the wheels allow it to roll effortlessly.Overall, a very nice dehumidifier, that will cover a large space (4500 square feet) that could be priced a little bit less to be competitive with similar units. Given the reputable De’Longhi name, I expect this dehumidifier will last for many years to come.

Effective and convenient
This dehumidifier is very effective. It can pull a lot of moisture from the air quickly. There are some quirks to know about though. The pump is a major convenience feature. The pump system uses a small plastic tube from the front of the unit. The tube measures 17′. You can run the unit continuously and have the pump drain the water. Pump drained water can go above the level of the machine to e.g. a sink drain. There is also a 40″ gravity drain hose that attaches to the back of the unit. The drain hose must go to below the tank for it to work. Since the dehumidifier is on wheels that don’t lock, putting it above the floor to drain into a sink would be risky. You can set the unit to a target humidity down to 30% relative humidity level. If it reaches below the target humidity, the powerful and noisy fan continues to operate constantly even if the cooling elements don’t. Since the exhaust air is warm, using this in a confined space may not be effective even with the recommended 2-4′ space in front since the whole area will get pretty warm with the exhaust air. Warm air is going to lower relative humidity and make the dehumidifier less efficient. I found the best thing to do was place it in a hallway where there is clear air flow to the front and back. You can also set it to timed or continuous mode. That is where your pump or gravity drain will be most useful. The instructions say not to use extension cords but they give you only 6′ of power cord. The water tank itself doesn’t have a good place to grip it to remove it so it is awkward to pull it out when full with water. If you are emptying the tank by hand, the dehumidifier may drip while you have the tank removed.Overall, I think this is a highly effective dehumidifier that would be excellent in larger, open spaces where the continuous mode with pump drainage would really shine.

Fantastic dehumidifier for the basement !
First of all, I wanted something that is easy to drain. This actually gives you several options to do so. You can remove (by pulling out the front drawer) and empty the bucket inside, drain directly via hose which is included, or can use an internal condensate pump for upward draining. I liked that I could attach the hose to the unit so that it can be continuously drained !Now it is equipped with an electronic control panel that is quite easy to read and operate to set it to your preference.I also chose this one because it says it can withstand its function under the cold weather (it says it runs at the temperature down to 41 fahrenheit).I can also confirm after running this one non stop for the last 5 month or so, it is energy efficient as it claims. However, if it turns off due to power outage, it won’t restart itself automatically. It does come with a 3 year warranty I think, but you probably want to get the extended one because it will probably last more than 3 years I believe.Overall this was just perfect for my intention of using it for my basement, and I am really satisfied with its overall performance !Definitely worth the price !

Humidity Control System with 3 Ways to Drain the Water…
This system controls the air humidity quickly and it runs very quiet. It arrived fully assembled and has a simple touch button design with a lighted LED panel. This has really helped control the air and mold in my basement. The is the only dehumidifier I use in my basement and it has made a huge difference.Trust you found this review honest and helpful:-)

Appareil fonctionne bien et offre un bon rendement.

This product was a used model. The screen protector on the display panel was reattached. The model is also unstable. Amazon is not able to send a replacement unit. Disappointed purchase.Bottom is unstable because the water pipe (which has water in it) is out and the bottom is broken.

I have been using dehumidifiers for years, we have a 2 story home that also has a basement so we do get some dampness that we need to take care of and we keep a dehumidifier running almost all of the time. Winter we have a woodstove going so there is less dampness so in winter we do not run it as often but the rest of the year it is always running every day.The De’Longhi dehumidifier was very easy to set up. After taking it out of the box I had to peel off the tape that keeps everything together for shipping, install the carbon filter and basically plug it in and it was ready to go. I used this to drain the water into the machine reservoir and do not use the pump version to continuously drain into a sink since we do not have a laundry sink in our basement or a drain hole.In just a short amount of time this little machine was able to take quite a bit of moisture and dampness out of the air. I like that this unit is on wheels so it is fairly easy to move around as needed, although it is quite heavy if you need to move it down or up stairs. This unit shuts off once the water reservoir is full and you can easily slide it out and empty the water into a sink and then slide it back into place to continue working. This unit makes quite a bit of fan noise, but to be honest it doesn’t bother us its more of a white noise similar to air purifiers or actual fans. If using this in a basement which we will be doing after using it on our main floor for a while you shouldn’t be able to hear it much, if at all. This De’Longhi is quite the upgrade from the dehumidifier we were previously using and we are loving the over all experience of it. It looks great in any room, not too large and has a modern look.Definitely a great item that I would purchase again if needed.

I have been using this dehumidifier in our basement and it has made a HUGE difference! After running it for a only few days, it seems like an entirely different basement and longer smells damp and like mildew. I love that it is essentially a plug in play and even came with a hose so I was able to use it with my basement drain right away. The controls in this until are simple and very user friendly and I love the large LCD panel. It is louder than some I have used in the past but it is very effective so that doesn’t bother me at all. I actually prefer a bit of white noise! It is large enough for areas up to 4500 square feet but it also has wheels which make it easy to move around from room to room.Maintenance and upkeep is very low. It features a carbon filter as well as a washable filter screen that I usually wash once a month or so.One of my favourite features is the dual drainage option which allows you to use the built in pump or do a manual drainage. This can be very handy depending on where I am using it. For manual, the unit beeps and turns off when it is full so you simply pull out and empty the bucket. There is a window to see the water level and it even has a handle to make it easier for you to carry. For automatic, continuous drainage, you can use use the pump and 13 foot hose (included). You can drain it into a sink, outside, a floor drain, etc. It is perfect in our basement because we have an open floor drain that I can put the hose directly into. All in all, I am extremely pleased with this dehumidifier and would recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality, reliable and easy to use unit.

I do not believe I had any trouble setting up this dehumidifier and the overall operation is straightforward; Basically, the unit does tell me the current relative humidity percentage level and I can set a target for what I want the humidity level to be. It is a heavy unit to lift straight out the box and I would recommend asking for help if you need to moving this up/down a flight of stairs. With the top exhaust and the air intake at the front, I like that I can push this up against a wall to save some space; I do wish that the power plug was a flat right-angled plug as it does protrude from the wall. Without any kind of cable management or holder for the power cord, it can be cumbersome to carry the power cord and move the entire unit into storage.Things I like about this dehumidifier:- Rigid Plastic Exterior Construction- Easy To Program and Set Desired Relative Humidity Level- Shuts Off Automatically When Internal Water Reservoir is Full- Continuous Drain Hose and Pump Hose Included- Smooth Dual Wheel Casters- Easy To Clean Internal Mesh Filter Panel- Exchanges And Circulates Air Very QuicklyThings I did not like about this dehumidifier:- No Cable Management Holder for Power Cord- Power Plug Is Not Flat and Protrudes from The Wall Outlet- Carbon Filter Is Quite Messy to Install Because of The Small Particles in The Bag- After Extended Usage, I Have to Be Careful with Removing the Rubber Plug at The Back of The Unit as Water May Spill Out- No Easy Access to the Internal Condenser Metal Fin Array for CleaningUsually, I put the dehumidifier away into storage prior to the winter season and I wish I had easier access to the metal fin array for routine cleaning; It looks like I may have to resort to disassembly in order to clean the metal fin array and use a degreaser. I do take the dehumidifier out of storage when the weather gets warmer again and there is significant rainfall; My nest thermostat does give me an estimate of what the relative humidity level is like in the living room.I love that there are three options available for how I want the collected moisture to be managed; The clear hose is easy to hook up as it has a quick disconnect that I only need to push down to install/remove the hose. Manually removing the internal reservoir is simple enough and I like that it fits back in without any clearance issues. With the activated carbon filter sheet, I know that these will lose their effectiveness over time and will need to be replaced; It does not cover the entire mesh filter panel and I probably plan to run the unit without it installed. As for the fan noise, it is more audible because of the top exhaust design and circular air movement; It is not the quietest unit I have used so far and I am okay with it as I only run it on hot humid days. With a balance of noise to performance, I believe this unit does prioritize air exchange performance and it is able to dry the air comfortably at a quicker rate.
