Tile / Shower Waterproofing Done Right !
Redguard – used for waterproofing over Denshield (and other types of sheetrock). Great Product. Combine with Laticite fiber mesh tape for edges and corners. ** NOTE ** Make sure you clean all concrete surfaces with a WET sponge or wet cloth. If you are putting this on a concrete floor, make sure you clean off the concrete with water and a rag… then let it dry and apply. If using durarock or similar product, make sure the durarock has been cleaned with a damp sponge and allowed to dry prior to application. In a nutshell, don’t like some unskilled subcontractor just start painting this over any surface. The surface prep is critical to adhesion and proper installation. Great product.
This is an excellent product. Been using this brand for years. Excellent waterproofing qualities. Almost creates a rubber, elastic membrane. Multiple uses. HOWEVER, this particular purchase the product appears defective, very watery and is NOT able to be used with a trowel. Every other bucket I’ve used has a thick consistency.It is overpriced on Amazon and a value purchased everywhere else. I purchased from this vendor to avoid having to drive 63 miles one way to purchase and CARRY it home. Amazon allows a return, however it’s too darn heavy to deal with transporting it. Would NOT purchase this from Amazon again. Sticking with big box HD stores.

This product is great. I purchased it for a 36 inch by 36 inch shower. I have put two coats on the walls (3) and the floor and I still have a lot of it left. I will be using the rest of it shortly for additional showers.

Good protection
I’m not sure if I needed the extra water protect, but for a few dollars I figured why not. I guess I won’t really know how well it works for a few years when I find out my shower is still bone dry or it starts to leak. My friend who’s a retired tile guy recommend it and that’s good enough for me.

We purchased this for our master bathroom! My husband swears by this product and will not use anything else as a vapor barrier.

Great joint/seam sealer
Great joint/seam sealer. We had 1,000 sq.ft. of sub-flooring to seal before laying Saltillo tile. Product applied easily and smoothly. Now, if they had only sent someone to do the application it would have been even better.
