4.5 stars if I could
Before starting my review, I feel it’s important to mention a couple of things … I’m not a handy person. My use for this is light and occasional. My testing of this represents light work. That said, I’m really happy with this mini circular saw.Setup is easy. Unbox. Install one of the included blades. I am knocking one star off of this review because I only got 2 of the 3 shown blades (mine is missing the plastics blade). Install the dust tube extension if you want (I don’t have an appropriate connector on my shop vac so I didn’t try this functionality). Set the depth and/or angle and your ready to cut. The battery came almost fully charged so I could try it right out of the box. I only had some particle board to try it out on. It’s thin and not that hard, but this saw cut it easily and smoothly. I have confidence that it would work on thicker and harder materials… up to a point. By that I mean that the motor does not feel as powerful as on my 20 year old full size, corded, circular saw. Unfortunately, I can’t quantify it any more than that. Two other things I noticed when comparing to my much older circular saw. The blade guard and the blade housing (so both the retractable bottom piece and the piece that covers the top of the blade) on this mini saw are plastic. On my full sized saw both are metal. Obviously metal is sturdier. If I was throwing this around a work truck or a work site all day that might be more problematic, but, for my needs I think it’s probably ok. The body of the saw feels heavy and sturdy. The guides (depth/angle and cross bar) are metal. The laser guide works better than the one on my older saw. It’s easy to see in a lighted garage (see pic) but was harder to see in direct sunlight. I could still see it, but it was faint. On my old saw the light is less visible especially in direct sunlight when it was almost invisible. Also in the box you’ll get a couple of extra button batteries for the laser light, an allen wrench for installing the blades and guide, an instruction book that is pretty easy to follow one battery and a charging brick for the battery. As I said, the battery came almost fully charged (all bars lit up when I pressed the test button ). But the plug has a light that shows red when charging and green when fully charged. Overall, I am very happy with this mini circular saw. I think it is more than sufficient for lighter DIY needs.

Compact, Cordless Mini Circular Saw with Laser Guide and Great Value
This Extbtfor 4-1/2″ cordless mini circular saw is a surprisingly capable little tool that’s perfect for quick cuts and light-duty projects. It’s compact and easy to control, making it ideal for one-handed operation when space is tight. The 3400 RPM motor delivers smooth, consistent cuts through wood, plastic, and soft metals without bogging down. The laser guide is a nice touch and helps keep cuts straight, especially for trim work and quick measurements. With a maximum cutting depth of 1-11/16″ at 90° and 1-1/8″ at 45°, it handles most common tasks you’d expect from a mini saw. The bevel adjustments are simple and hold their position well. The included 2.0Ah battery provides solid runtime for its size, and not being tethered to a cord makes this saw very convenient for jobs around the house, shop, or garage. It feels well balanced, lightweight, and comfortable to use for extended periods.Overall, this mini circular saw is practical, accurate, and easy to use. It’s excellent value for the money and a great option for DIY projects, quick repairs, and light cutting jobs where a full-size saw would be overkill.

Touchy trigger, proprietary battery
This is for “Extbtfor Circular Saw,4-1/2” Mini Circular Saw Cordless with 2.0A Battery”Pricing: $75.99 when ordered, $57.75 (with coupon) when reviewed.Silver portion around the saw blade is grey plastic. Handle is plastic with rubber inserts for additional grip. Very easy to adjust angle and depth using levers. Laser is powered with a pair of watch batteries. Better design would have it draw power from the battery pack. Not compatible with any name-brand batteries. I have a reciprocating saw which uses the same battery type, and the box even has the same overall design as the circular saw, just a different random name. Saw is no longer available, but the vendor offers battery packs: https://www.amazon.com/Yunirvana-DC-20V-Battery-Suitable-Brands/dp/B0CVN2LWFP Yunirvana DC-20V Battery Pack (4.0Ah)Ran a couple of tests of battery capacity, 20V to 15V at 2A draw:Test 1 – 1.75Ah, 30.38Wh, 51m 00sTest 2 – 1.67Ah, 28.96Wh, 49m 47sUsing the included barrel jack adapter, takes around two-three hours to recharge pack to full.

Light duty saw with one battery but a nice laser guide
The saw is powered to cut a stud, but labors to do so, and is better suited to thinner softwood stock or plywood. With only one battery, you need to work with the limited cycle time of that battery and then stop to get a charge. The indicator on my battery showed a full charge on arrival, but the first cut I went to make failed about two seconds in where the saw fully stalled. That was corrected after a couple of hours on the wall wart charger waiting for the charger LED to go from red to green. The bars on the battery are not an accurate power level indicator on the unit I have. There are two saw blades included, one for rough work and one for fine/plywood/plastics work. The fastener uses the included allen wrench to remove a bolt and washers. The bolt is a left hand thread, so use care to remove it rather than over-tightening it. Inserting the blade, even with the shroud fully retracted is a project of twisting and turning and takes some extra care and patience. The laser guide is fairly bright, although it washes out to a degree in full sunlight, and powered by its own button batteries with a spare set included in the packaging. The laser has its own rocker switch for control. The integrated switch safety is difficult to operate with gloved hands and must be cycled every time you pull the trigger. The ripping fence is light gauge steel and extra care is needed to avoid bending it. For a value price point, it is a serviceable saw and the small form factor allows for versatile light duty cut out work.
