Great updated construction for an essential construction tool!
Chalk line works great just like it should. This has 30m of line and a 6:1 gear ratio which means that it winds back up incredibley fast. There is a little play in the line once the crank is set and the lock is not too deep for the handle, which is a little different than an older line, but it still works great and should make for a good addition to the tool box.

This chalk line tool and chalk work great. The line is very visible and accurate.

Jammed right away
Don’t buy this chalk line. It jammed up right away and even after taking it apart to try to fix it, it keeps jamming. I threw it away. Junk.
