Not too small a mask at all!
I would like to put an end to the numerous reviews that claim this mask is too small in size. Just look at the attached picture. It is the same size (maybe a tad larger), than a commonly available 3M Aura mask.Now I have a large head (60 cm circumference), and I feel the 3M is a tad small, but still very usable. The BNX mask feels fine to me. The elastic bands are not too tight at all, even though the top band seems expanded to 85-90% of capacity on my head.I am a retired industrial hygienist (health and safety professional), and I like the BNX mask a lot. It is not too thin, has a stiff carcass, and yet has excellent breathability. It is not as stuffy as the various models of 3M masks. The 3M masks achieve their N95 safety certification by fitting very, very tight.I have given up wearing 3M masks for COVID because their Achilles Heel is the silicone straps, which break too easily. I have also tried the 3M masks with the yellow elastic straps, and those also break quickly. The straps will break at the point where they are stapled, or they will break in the middle. The straps on a 3M mask won’t last a week for daily use. So you run through a lot of masks and it gets expensive.If you complain to 3M they will tell you their masks are designed for one-time use by medical staff. Braided elastic straps are the way to go (the type used on Korean-made KF94 masks), and I believe 3M is now offering one model of mask with this feature, although IMO, the strap will still break where it is stapled to the mask.Time will tell whether the braided, heat-sealed straps on the BNX mask are more durable than the blue or yellow straps on the 3M. I will post an update later.Update on 6-28-2023: I have been wearing the same mask for the last 6 months to test the straps and it hasn’t broken yet! I wear the mask maybe 2-6x a week. The mask is a bit stained and yucky through all this, but neither of the two straps have broken yet. And I have a large 60 cm head so I stretch the straps a lot whenever I don the mask. The straps are still going strong – now that’s impressive compared to the 3M silicone straps which are stapled on.

Pretty good, but might need to size up
Overall I found the mask to be really easy to breathe through for the hours of plane travel. It’s a little tricky to get it on (and for other women, I recommend wearing your hair in a ponytail so the straps actually stay put without messing up your hair), but once it’s on it stays put. My only complaint was that the top strap was just a bit too tight, so it pulled the wired nose piece too tight against the bridge of my nose. I had ordered the small/medium size, but if I were to order these again I might try the next size up to see if it fits better. Alternatively, I may just cut the straps on the ones I have now and tie in a little extra elastic or something so these don’t go to waste.

Fits Comfortably and Unique features
I like the fit and will usually fit best into a medium in a typical 3m mask but can manage a small mask size from them too. This one is thankfully not like the 3m small; it’s a bit bigger. It also accommodates my larger male nose and have noticed more room in that regard as well as not having noticed tingly fuzzy irritating fibers constantly training me to exhibit self-control not to stomp on the mask even though it is a new one I just removed from my 3m box- I used to have to take a quickly passing flame to the fuzzies to knock them back when getting a batch of those special ones. Because of the 3-panel design these have, I did notice, after thinking about it, they only lightly rest on my large bridge but the mask doesn’t touch the end of my nose or is close enough to irritate it. These masks fit quite well. Regarding reviews about tight straps- before you put the masks on securely- hold the strap/band near each end (one end at a time) and pre-stretch the few inches next to the side of your pinched section that is preventing you from tugging against where it is welded on that side of your grip. (Don’t tug on weld side of strap attachment). Pre-stretching will change the elastic memory to a weaker one, like an older elastic waistband, for example. I first started doing this with 3m and other brands too, and it also works on this one. I usually hold both ends at the same time while thrusting a few full-extension quick pulls in the middle on those styles, but just tried 1 end at a time with this one being careful not to stress the opposite end’s weld. As I become a little less overly cautious with this new style for me, I’ll probably pre-stretch each band by holding both ends simultaneously as I have with all the others- just did that now and it works fine- either way. Just one option to adjust tension by changing elastic memory.

Waste of money buy 3M N 95 instead
Horrible product. I’m not sure how these are rated N95 but they were nothing more than thin toilet paper on my face. Fit was horrible and filtration was even worse. I would not suggest these unless you can somehow jimmy rig them to fit snuggly. They didn’t filter any dust what’s so ever and just hung on my face. Went right back on and found the 3M N95 masks and just waited for them to be delivered. There is no refund for this crappy product.

Good Fit
Why did you pick this product vs others?:My criteria for masks are 1. How well they seal to my face. 2. Whether they contribute to fogging of my eyeglasses. So far these have met my needs. One area of improvement would be increasing either the length or the stretchability of the lower strap.
