Perfect size for my pellet stove
I have a pellet stove that i need to clean out every few weeks, and i was so sick of lugging my big shopvac out of the crawl space. This is now my pellet stove vac. It works just as well, and is easy to keep stored and not be in the way.

Great suction. Because it’s so light falls over a lot. Pretty much you have to keep one hand on the handle. Easy to manuver. But light and easy to store.

Light weight but capable
I love this light weight B&D shop vac. I replaced an old Craftsman light weight vac that was a nightmare to empty. I strongly prefer the new B&D with a bag than the old filter compartment in my Craftsman that required messy emptying with dust flying and either replacing the pricey filter or cleaning it — a yucky experience that probably clogged my drain. Wood workers no doubt prefer the filter compartment set up because they fill their large shop vacs quickly, but for lighter usage the bag is far superior. I use the B&D mostly in my garage and car, but it’s so easy to carry that I also use it in my mud room and around the house. The bag holds as much dust as a regular upright vacuum cleaner. The only negative comment I have is that despite having four storage points, I could use another for convenience in carrying all the accessories including a brush from my old Craftsman. Note that the hoses and attachments fit the same on both vacuums. The B&D has plenty of power to pick up the variety of debris on my garage floor and in my car’s interior. It’s sound level is typical, not too loud. Cord length is okay, but sometimes demands an extension cord of suitable rating.

Powerful, priced well
This is a handy little unit to use around my workbench and with my little DIY dust collection cyclone. This little thing moves a ton of air, it’s impressive!My one note for improvement is that the latches that hold the dustbin on the motorhead are cheap and seem like they’ll eventually break or fatigue. If they revise this, I’d like to see a latch or clamp implemented instead of these little plastic tabs. I don’t think it’ll be a problem under normal use, but if you throw it around or let it routinely sit in the sun, I could see these tabs breaking.I’d also be pleased if it came with a few extensions and a floor nozzle.

Cheaply made
This is certainly not a machine you’re going to pass down to future generations. The waste receptacle is made of thin plastic and is held to the motor unit by clips molded on it. It has a wall mount hanger, but no provision to store the accessories, hose, or cord. The instructions say to remove the cloth bag , which is retained by a thin plastic ring, for wet pickup, while leaving the foam filter in place. I’m not sure what use the foam filter is since it doesn’t cover the holes in the bottom of the filter cage. The machine has a rather strong odor that might be objectionable for some folks. The cord and hose are both fairly short and the hose is pretty stiff. All that being said, the vacuum has good suction and picks up dirt and liquids well. I purchased it to clean running shoes and clean up after cat hairball incidents, and for that, it works well. It is pretty simple to clean by sucking up some spray cleaner and then some water to clean the hose and then rinsing the inside of the vacuum with a sink rinser. For the price, it is certainly good enough for what I needed.
