With BLACK+DECKER’s 20V MAX* 3/8 in. cordless drill/driver and impact driver combo kit, you’ll be able to take on around-the-house projects with confidence. The lightweight, compact drill is sure to be the tool you reach for again and again, thanks to features like an 11-position clutch that helps prevent stripping or overdriving screws. A variable-speed trigger lets you progress at a comfortable pace for enhanced control. It’s ideal for screwdriving tasks and for drilling into wood, metal, and plastic—even in tight spaces. And when the job calls for a cordless impact driver, this one won’t let you down. The quick-release 1/4 in. hex chuck lets you change bits quickly, so you can get back to work. Both the portable drill and the impact driver are even equipped with a built-in LED work light, and both use the powerful 20V MAX* POWERCONNECT lithium ion battery that’s compatible with the whole suite of POWERCONNECT tools. *Maximum initial battery voltage (measured without a workload) is 20 volts. Nominal voltage is 18 volts.

Work Great and a great price!
Quite the deal and some excellent tools! I love the B&D brand as of late. I use these things constantly and have zero complaints.

Impact Screw Driver almost lasted 5 years….
Great combo… use it often and neither the drill or impact screw driver are babied. They get rough use. The Drill is still going like new. compact and powerful. The Impact screw driver worked great until I REALLY abused it by using it to drive 6″ long lag bolts into concrete… a lot of them! It really isn’t designed for this type of heavy work. It did drive them all, but a couple of months later it decided not to work. Probably a minor fix but I will buy another one, fix this one and then use both.;

Great value, and excellent compatibility with other Black+Decker tools.
This combo set is a good deal for the price. The 1.5AH battery should last a very long time, and replacements are easily found. The whole Black+Decker 20V line of tools use the same batteries and chargers, which makes it VERY easy to continue to buy from the same manufacturer.As far as the drill motor, it is light weight, fast, and has enough power to drill through anything. With the 1.5AH battery installed, the balance and weight are both perfect for light work around the house. The casing is plastic, but the parts you touch when holding it is rubberized. There is a Philips and flat-head drill bit that snaps into the back of the handle.For the impact driver, it is about the same weight and dimensions as the drill motor. The chuck has a locking mechanism that holds the bits in place. This is very important when you are using it to back out tough fasteners.The LED is a weak point, as it is barely bright enough to light the work area in a dark room. In sunlight, it’s useless, but you probably wouldn’t need it anyways if it was that bright.Overall, this is a great addition to the garage. I tend to abuse my tools, and so far Black+Decker tools have been VERY durable and resilient.

Fine product, but need to charge battery pack upon receipt or eventually, it may not hold a charge.
The drill and impact wrench are well-designed and perform well. But it is vital to know the battery pack MUST be charged within a certain time frame after receipt. I you don’t, the pack may not accept a charge. I found this out after letting the pack sit for 43 months after purchase because I had others. It would not accept a charge. I commend Black & Decker (Stanley) for standing behind their product in still sending me a free replacement pack after all this time. The box itself, and the user manual, need to prominently (BIG LETTERS!) warn the consumer to charge the battery pack within (?) of receipt or it will not accept a charge. Also, the use of international symbols instead of wording beside the charger’s status LEDs can baffle. Although the import of the green constant lit (charged) and green blinking (charging) LEDs are explained in the manual, the red blinking (unchargeable, bad pack) and constant red LED (overheated pack) ARE NOT. Need to add admonition and explanations for red LED light to manual copy.

Work Horse
I’m amazed by this tool. I bought one years ago, and I have beaten the crap out of it more times than I can count. And it just keeps on working. It’s not a very expensive tool. There are many more expensive ones on the market. But this one really does the job. I’ve rarely run it out of juice in a day, and I’ve used it to hang drywall for entire days. Couple of weeks ago, I was using it to fix some deck boards and it quit. Dead. Never gave it a second thought. Got online, (they still make the same one), ordered a replacement. This set looked like a good deal. Came with the drill, an impact drill, (good for tapcons) and a battery. My battery from the old drill still works and is the same, so now I got two tools and two batteries! If this one lasts half as long as my original it will be worth it.

Believe me I love Dewalt tools just as much as the next
This is a product for the DIY person on a budget but, who are also looking for a reliable tool. Black and Decker basically owns Dewalt so really their B&D line is just a budget friendly version of the Dewalt tools.Believe me I love Dewalt tools just as much as the next, heck I own a Dewalt mitre saw, but when it cam time for me to purchase a new drill driver and impact tool set I didn’t want to spend a ridiculous amount of money. So after searching and more researching, I came across this set and decided to take a chance. I have to say I absolutely love this product! It does for me everything I need it to do without the high price tag of some of the other high end name brands. For the casual DIY homeowner like myself it’s perfect! Also love that it is in the 20V battery family. Any other brand of drill driver and impacts with the 20V option, you are going to end up paying twice the amount. Great product would definitely recommend to anyone looking for power and quality at an excellent price.

Decent Performance but Lacks Durability
This BLACK+DECKER drill and impact driver combo works well for light household tasks and DIY projects. The battery charges quickly and the tools are easy to handle, but they don’t feel very durable for heavy or frequent use. Good for occasional use, but not for serious power-tool work.
