Good quality
The things actually pretty solid, lot better than the one I had before and it’s not a bad price for how sturdy it is. I don’t use a speed square much but for the price I’m happy with this one!

Lightweight Speed Square
This arrived in a nice box and actually well protected. This is a nicely constructed 12 framing square.Right away I noticed the high contrast between the actual material and the markings. Im not sure how many I have been in the groove of building something and them have to stop due to poor lighting. Well, this contrast back then would have really been a huge help. The lettering is bold and easy to see. On this one the common rafter scale is very legible as is the hip and valley cut marks. This feels good in the hands. Meaning there are no sharp edges or burrs remaining after the machining process. The material is a consistent thickness, and the T-bar has more than enough depth to grab onto most rounded off edges of the process lumber of today. However, I might not be a seasoned construction worker, but it would have been much better if the markings were casted into the aluminum instead of printed on them. I know these will eventually wear off over time.I can only speak for mine but along the main marking edge there is an anomaly. This (whatever it is) goes from the 1 inch mark all the way to the 1 3/8” mark. It looks like a piece of weld splatter that has been ground down…. sort of … but this does not allow me to have that perfect line. Yes, I completely understand that line is meant to be a reference line for cutting, leveling, or whatever and really should not matter but where was the quality control when this was about to be shipped off to a customer? Not only that, but something as simple as this will rapidly wear down a pencil lead. And when I am building a deck, shed, or a garage any and all delays build up over time. And having to stop and constantly sharpen a pencil is not only annoying but it is a delay. Hopefully you can see it, as I tried to get a good picture of it.This is not a showstopper by any means this is a very nice speed square. And I am very happy with this as it will go straight into my construction bin.

Exactly what we needed, good quality
Exactly what we needed. Quality was strong and durable. Was the full 7 inches. It was a great value for the purchase. My son uses this in his welding class. The print on the measurements were clear and precise.
