Good value good fan.
Great value remote is a nice feature. The vent attachment is a little flimsy i had to remove it to install the fan amd broke one of the plastic tabs but that just may be my “professional” install skills. Make sure you are mounting the fan on the right side of the fan because I needed to make a 2×4 bracket to mount it to the left. It has good air flow but i would have liked it to be a little more powerful.

It worked
We originally bought a replacement bathroom fan/light from Lowes. Associate looked at our old fan and said the fan purchased would work. Nope, it didn’t. Saw this and determined it would fit. It did, perfectly. Husband didn’t cuss once.

Competitively priced…really quiet
Well what do you know. A replacement piece that doesn’t require chopping away more of the ceiling. Unfortunately, I’ve held off on installing this because I’m not sure yet how to deal with the fact that this seems to want 3 or 4 wires from my house, but it only has 2. While the installation manual has instructions for both new and existing construction, it doesn’t anticipate houses built pre-1910 that have never had portions of their wiring updated. In other words, no guidance on hooking this up to knob and tube wiring. I’ll have to dig out my electrical projects and repairs for numbskulls book that laying around in one of these bookcases.Even though I did not install it yet, I did test it. The lower floors of my house do have up to date wiring in most rooms, and I used a piece of extension cord that I cut through with hedge trimming shears quite awhile ago, which comes in handy for situations like this where I want to test or trouble shoot something on a bench instead of in situ. This thing is quiet. Really quiet. Like maybe *too* quiet for some folks, depending on which room it’s in. And it claims to move a good amount of air (80 cfm), something I have no gear to test and verify. So it might get put to use in a grow tent type setting once my plants get big enough. Its specs put it in the range of some Broan models which sell for considerably more at local big box stores. Not a fan of the remote control which can be mounted in its holder like a dimmer control, but it can also be taken out. Which means you have the convenience of changing the mood while sitting on the pot, but also means you could accidentally flush the thing. Then what? No way to control the fan is what. It would be nice if there was a hardwired controller…and maybe an additional portable remote as well

Great addition to the bathroom
As advertised! Low nose, great variety of lighting styles, and the remote is very handy. If I could change anything I would have it be a more powerful fan.

must access from above OR….
If you want to replace your current fan with this much quieter fan, plan to have access to the attic or mounting area — unlike a similar Panasonic fan I installed last year, this one is not designed to be installed through the ceiling without major compromises.

New fan for remodel
We remodeled a small bathroom and replaced an old fan for this model. I really like the different light choices and the fan is quiet.
