Our Story
We’re a husband and wife team based in Dallas, Texas. Our company was born from a creative spark in 2014 following a DIY bathroom project. The project turned out to be slow and frustrating, but ultimately a rewarding experience. As a result, we realized that we could source better, easier-to-use, and cheaper products than big box stores.
Our primary focus has always been products related to shower and bathroom construction, such as Linear Shower Drains, Shower Niches, and various waterproofing products.

How does Nova-Fiber work?
Our product is made from a hydrophobic synthetic material, where the individual fibers are treated to repel water. Nevertheless, the fabric allows the liquid compound to fully penetrate and encapsulate it.
In a typical shower installation, Nova-fiber greatly increases the tensile strength of the dried waterproofing compound, and reinforces corners and transitions between the backerboard and mortar bed.

What makes Nova-Fiber different from other brands on the market?
Having worked with the materials yourself and listening to our customers gives us an edge over our competitors. In short, we’ve learned what works well, and what doesn’t.
Some fabrics tend to be too thick, absorbing excessive amounts of waterproofing compound (which is very expensive) and swelling like a sponge. This makes them more difficult to work around sharp transitions, and can result in a lumpy and uneven surface.
Other fabrics can be too stiff, resulting in the edges curling up and not staying put when wetted with the liquid compound.
Fiberglass based fabrics have some benefits, however are very unpleasant to handle, and lose considerable strength if they are folded or creased.
There are also surface applied sheet membranes (Kerdi etc.), they are not designed to work with liquid membranes at all, They are completely non-absorbent and will simply delaminate.

Quick and Easy
Nova-fiber is designed for strength and ease of use.

Use with any liquid waterproofing compound
It doesn’t matter if it’s Red, Green, Blue or whatever; Nova-fiber works with all of them.

Economical
A roll of Nova-Fiber will cover lots of corners, transitions, niches etc.. But more importantly, it’s frugal with your waterproofing compound.

Beautiful results

works really well with redgard
In some ways i wish the weave was a bit more open so it could wrap around odd shapes better but but a normal standard shower it works great. I pre-ironed my inside and outside corners i made as well as long corners, this makes putting things down much easier (don’t use iron directly , iron with a shirt, towel over the cloth as you’ll met it). I did a test with 1 coat of redgard on durock and this fabric with a pool of water and it sat there for days. on one roll the start of the roll had a curled edge (about 8 inches), good idea to check yours, but everything else worked fantastic and i’d dare you to be able to separate two pieces with redgard between them.Pretty sure the only reason schluter is popular is contractors can get in and out in a day, redgard with this stuff is really impressive, grab some and do a few mock up tests and you’ll be convinced.

Worked great; Reasonable price
This Reinforcing and Anti Fracture Mesh Tape (It’s actually a random directional pressed fiber fabric) was easy to work with and easily stuck to the under coat of liquid waterproofing and readily absorbed the over coat. Since I only used part of the roll, I’m going to look around for other ways I can use it other than shower waterproofing. I suspect it would work good as reinforcing with epoxy resin in low stress situations.

It’s the BBD of membrane tape!
Great product! A much better deal than other brands sold in brick &mortar stores. Its wider, 6 inches, and longer, 75 feet. More than twice for less $. Its a no brainers. As well, this stuff is easy to work with. It forms a strong waterproof barrier when used with a liquid membrane such as regard.

Great Product
Easy to install and works great. Fits all the corners and edges well. I recommend this item and the use of Red Guard or Aqua Defense

Nice fiber tape
This is a nice fiber tape. Used when preparing a shower for waterproofing with Hydroban. I placed it over the corners and gap between Hardibacker cement boards.

Good value
Bought product to aid in waterproofing a shower, the niche in particular. Embedded it with a liquid waterproofing membrane. Nova-Fiber seems comparable to other far more expensive products. To my knowledge Nova- Fiber doesn’t tout itself as a waterproofing material; I just used it based on anecdotal evidence. Haven’t finished building shower, so as yet, I can’t verify. However, the fabric was very easy to cut and fashion into corner and side shapes; it easily absorbed the liquid, slicked down to cement board and didn’t wrinkle or bubble, so I’m happy.

Great product, Great price.
Great product, we used 8 rolls of this on a large tile job. We used Red guard for our water proof membrane applying it to the cement board using a mini roller then bedding in the nova fiber roll and coating the material with the mini roller. Very easy to use dry’s tight to the wall. Love the product and priced right.

Worked well for me. Easily cut with scissors. Material thickness, width and strength is just right. Just as good as other products that are much more expensive.

I wasn’t sure about this product. I gambled on it.Wasn’t worth it.If you do decide to buy it, make sure to slop plenty of waterproofing. This product won’t work without it.Its basically like paper mashé.I highly recommend getting the better brands.A leaky shower over a few bucks isn’t worth the ”savings”.I read the previous comments and thought it should be good. But you want the BEST!This product will absorb the waterproofing wich is 120$ a 4 liter pail….BE AWARE
