Can I use it under my floating shelf?
These strip lights put out around 100-125 lumens per foot, and the hub-and-spoke wiring configuration makes it easy to use these for shelving lights. Take more care to hide the wires to get a clean and neat finish.
How do I control the light?
The on/off control is a tap/hand sweep sensor, so you can put it beneath wood or counters(thickness＜2inch). Can not work in the metal shelf/cabinet.
The remote can be touchless – just wave your hand near it.(Must be wave at the sides of the sensor with the adhesive pad, or the light will not be on)
It includes a sticker you can put on the opposite side of the sensor so you know right where to touch each time.
Can I dim the light?

How do I map out the wires?
These LED lights are great for a medium to large-sized cabinet.
You can cut the 16.4ft light strip into desired sizes. It will light up the whole cabinet because it can max connect 6 individual rows of LED lights.
You just stick the light switch on the inside of where you want your controller to be, and the wood on the other side is the switch.
How to connect the light strip with the extension cable?
Insert the cut end into the connector after peeling off a bit of the blue tape.
You can also peel off a little bit of the white tape beneath that to expose the copper contacts – but the connector contacts can pierce that layer if you don’t want to peel off the white layer also. (Don’t peel it all off, just enough to fit into the connector.)
Insert the end, press down the hinged part until it clicks or is otherwise all the way clamped – don’t need tools, just your fingers squeezing it is enough.
Test the assembly by plugging it into the power supply.

they are a very bright and white.
The concept is great. It is easy to assemble and works great. My only dislike is the is no brightness control.I put them is as shelf light and they are way to bright for a book shelf. I will find somewhere else to use them.

I love the way it looks in the bar cabinet. However the switch to turn it on doesn’t work well. Waving your hand in front of it will not turn it on, tapping will sometimes turn it on/off.

Motion activated switch doesn’t work
Seemed like a great product out of the packagem easy to connect and set up. And it worked OK for a couple days, but then the motion switch stopped working. Tried different placements, but still nothing. The only way to turn it on/off was to unplug it. Was hopeful, but cannot recommend the motion activated switch.

Real nice lights. Freaking bright too with not way to dim the MFs.
I would have give 5 stars here except there is no way to dim these MFs. THEY ARE BRIGHT. At least initially. They may drop off after some time.I use these with a TAPO smart plug so having a single PS with multiple lines is very nice!Because I use a smart plug, the ingenious tap switch is useless. Cool, but useless.If they ever do make a dimmable version of these, I hope they make them compatible with smart plugs, so that the dim level returns when the power is reapplied.Easy to install and is a fairly good price.So, yeah, if you own some sunglasses or some way to shield your eyes from the welding light, I would recommend.
