Composite Decking Deck Screws
Good quality 316 stainless steel hidden deck fasteners. Have never used the OEM Trex hidden fasteners so I cannot honestly compare but these worked very well, I cannot find fault with them. I do wish the screws were a bit longer. But I think they are similar to official Trex hidden screw lengths. Also be aware not to set your driver to the highest Torque setting. You can easily drive them straight through the fastener. I set mine to a 6/7 and that worked well.Had no issues driving the screws too deep after that. Also had no concerns about stripping the heads by using less torque. Just take it easy and use the right bit and you’ll be fine. They don’t come pre-assembled – not a deal breaker. You have to put a screw in the fastener which actually gave an excuse for a nice break from screwing them in and tightening the boards together. For the money I cannot find fault with these. Easy to use and stupid cheap, and are holding the boards nice and tight. Quality fasteners at a more than reasonable price.

High quality deck material that you’ll love!
I like how complete this kit is. It provides the proper bit and even extra ss screws in case they’re needed. These invisible fasteners are great for decks because you don’t have to worry about raised screw heads snagging a toe or becoming a tripping hazard. The provided bit makes installation easier – no more hunting the right torx bit.They are definitely high quality which can be seen by the 316 stainless steel material (due to added molybdenum 316 offers higher corrosion resistance than 304 ss). It’s worth the price! They also have a preset gap which makes them very functional. You’ll like them! Just remember if it doesn’t work out don’t get tight get loose.. I hope you found this review helpful, and perhaps got a chuckle to boot!

GOOD STURDY CLIPS THAT MAKE THE JOB EASIER AND A LOT BETTER TOO
THESE ARE GOOD sturdy fasteners for composite decking & they are unobtrusive in appearance when installed.Installation can be a little difficult as they have to be positioned above the joists of course and it does take some patience to get them all positioned before putting the next deck unit together with all the clips. A little practice will make it easier.IMHO this is a superior way to install composite decking as it eliminates the cracking and such that cam happen with nailing and it is faster and better than screwing through eking.These clips are strong plastic and give the proper spacing between the boards. The stainless steel screws are good for treated wood and they will not corrode.All and all I am very happy with the result!

Great for composite decking
These are good fasteners for installing Trex decking. However, for me it was a bit challenging keeping the boards tight and the clips level without the installation tool (I got the 150 piece set for a smaller project). To overcome this I cut a groove into a 2×4 block at the right height to support the opposing side of the clip to assist with keeping it level (after I installed a couple of them crooked). The 2×4 also gave me something to prop my foot against to keep the decking for moving while I installed the screw.Bear in mind I’m a home handy man and have only done deck work twice in twenty five years.

Makes putting down composite decking a snap!
These deck fasteners are great, and compared to others I have got these are the ones to go with. There is some value for your dollar here as these come with a nice long T15 torque bit and the screws are already installed in the fasteners themselves, and they even give you some extra screws just incase you hit that unavoidable knot that brakes one of them off. These also come in a nice plastic container that keeps them from going all over the place like in some flimsy cardboard especially if they were to get wet from rain or snow. Definitely would buy these again not only to save money but time as well.

A little more than half were not usable
About half of the screws are stripped or just not defined for the screw head. This rendered them useless using my drillbit. The other half were fine, maybe even slightly less than half. They look very similar to the name brand hidden deck, fasteners, and interchanged well with them.
